I bought this

after not buying anything from Boden in living memory. It's fab! And not too expensive with a 20% discount code.

Lovely cord. Weighty. Very full at the bottom but fitted in the top half. Lovely sleeves too. The photos don't do it justice.

Has anyone seen or tried the cotton cashmere dress?

Yes it was very thin and didnt have the lovely brushed softness of last years CC dress and culottes.

Agreed Temple. It's not nearly as nice as last year's version. Looks and feels like nightwear.

Oh, that's sad. I was thinking it had a similar boat-neck to the blue crinkled cotton one which looks really nice on me. And so might be a useful purchase. But not if it's thin. Need a bit of heft in the weather up here. Thanks for info!

But need your opinion 9n the jerkin.. I am kind of obsessed with it ( ordered, sent back and reordered) but its too small I think , I dont think that a L will come back in , have been stalking...

@Laska2Meryls love the jacket on you. The jerkin is gorgeous but I also think you need a larger size. I’ve got broad shoulders too and if you’re like me it also means a broad upper back? I’d def need the large in it. Keep stalking!

Just put a Toast order in mainly because I love the advent calendar and have got that for my daughter…. And me too really
Also ordered the sheepskin hot water bottle cover, Japanese socks in oat and the Falke ribbed socks in green…. Has anyone tried any of these?

Looks better with a dress.. but yes probably too small. Its too expensive to make a mistake..
Sadly I think that I have missed the boat on a L , been looking for a couple of weeks.. 😞

@Laska2Meryls yes I prefer it with that dress… maybe because it looks like an empire line style where the waist band (as it were) is around the length of the jerkin?
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a L in the jerkin for you.

it does look nice NoCure. Which colour did you get? There was a good choice in the link. I wish other companies had a few colours to pick from like that

@Laska2Meryls, I have had a similar experience with the jerkin (although the denim one). I bought and sent back, then reordered two sizes, and couldn’t figure out which size worked better. The small looked like yours does on you. I even brought them into my local Toast and asked their opinion. They said the medium was better, so I returned the small. But I still haven’t worn the medium as I think it might be a bit too big and I am between sizes. I may have to reluctantly return it.
That is all to say that I think the medium is a bit small on you, but the large might be too big.

I like your dress! Tempted as they do petite sizes. I do love a cord dress.

I'm talking myself into it , Scottish Mouse -well at least keeping until the last time I can send back in hope that maybe a L will miraculously reappear..

This is me. The large was too big but the small is slightly neat. I've kept the small. The bigger one would have bugged me.

NoCure .. I like your dress too, did you get the fab copper colour?

@Laska2Meryls try the jerkin with a shorter top. It may balance it more.

@NoCureForLove the dress if lovely and boden cord is fantastic. I just cannot wear thick dresses [ hot flushes] But its beautiful.

I bought the navy. I'm contemplating going back for another in the beautiful copper colour. I do feel strangely evangelical about the Boden one.

I tried the JL cord dress which wasn't for me. Partly the colour partly the proportions.

Ooooh didnt see it was tiered. Love love love. Actually love the denim one.

Laska the jacket looks really nice on you! The jerkin is quite a puzzling thing isn't it? I think it looks so good with the dress, not bad with the long shirt, and a bit too small with the blue jumper (?)
