I've seen it in rl. It does look HUGE. And I personally don't like the fabric. With the big checks it makes me think of a flannel nightshirt. But each to their own!

It looks lovely on the Instagram but this is exactly the reason I wouldn't but. Too much large check. Same with the kin one.
neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 09:47

Wouldn't buy it

ScottishMouse · 30/09/2021 10:06

The dress is online now

Thank you wasn’t there when I looked in the middle of the night 🤦‍♀️. It’s dearer than last years version grrr.

ilovecherries · 30/09/2021 10:34

Yeah, it’s priced beyond the arbitrary price point I have in my mind for a day dress. I do love it though.

Laska2Meryls · 30/09/2021 10:44

Thanks .. well (luckily for my bank balance) thats not 'Me' !

Laska2Meryls · 30/09/2021 10:48

Oh now twice 🤷‍♀️🤦

Has anyone seen or tried the Quilted jacket (the yellow one)? I was out off by the yellow colour, but Toast Shoreditch have just reposted some photos on Instagram where it looks darker and much nicer. I wonder if it is the same fabric as the pintuck skirt?

faustina · 30/09/2021 11:12

That check dress in the pic on the website - she's also wearing the loveliest colour gown which is also new! I am not, however, paying £345 for a cotton gown!!!

ScottishMouse · 30/09/2021 11:15

I spotted that gown too. But didn’t check the price. Yikes!!

Stoic123 · 30/09/2021 11:26

@ToastCosILoveIt

Yes- very similar to the Kin dress (which I bought and love- although wish I got it in a smaller size as it's huge). Thanks for reminding me to look at Kin- I've just ordered the Kin Check Pleat Corduroy dress to try on.

Laska2Meryls · 30/09/2021 11:33

That gown is a thing of beauty faustina I really like the Ukiyo Print Dhuggie and the Pjs .. But i do wish that they would sell the PJs as separates.. id like the Dhuggie and the PJ bottoms ..and also im better with a larger top and smaller bottom half . I have already got some versions of this look with previous dhuggies through the sale (and a few years ago they did sell them all separately ) .

My wool cashmere sweaters arrived today and I love them. Fortunately they were only slightly creased. I am short-waisted and this style is one of the few longer jumpers that actually work with my Annie jeans - normally I have to go cropped or tucked. I think it’s because these sweaters are wide enough to hang nicely over the hips, and the length is just right for me (I’m 5’6”). I have one from a couple of years ago that I wear a lot. At first it used to pill horrendously, but with regular washing and combing it has consolidated and is now lovely and smooth and rarely pills at all. I’m hoping these will be the same, although my older jumper dates from the time when the wool-cashmere ratio was 50-50 rather than 70-30. The clementine colour, by the way, is deeper and brighter than it appeared on my screen, which I am pleased about.

It’s bloody freezing here today, trying to keep heating off. Toast brown gabis from last year, merino tank, collared 3/4 sleeve toast shirt from the summer, and Neat marigold cardi. Plus behold - new Toast socks! Happy feet.

Looking fab. I have the cardi. It is fabulous. Not worn it yet.
neveradullmoment99 · 30/09/2021 12:34

It is nicer than the kin one I think as the ecru is slightly darker. I think the kin one was more white and black?

Saurus72 · 30/09/2021 12:40

I’m loving all of this knitwear chat - it’s suddenly freezing where we are, so I’ve ordered a pair of the Falke merino tights to see how they fit. I’m also looking at the navy wool cardi/coat which is mega expensive but I think I’d wear it enough to justify it. However, before I buy it I’ve requested information from Toast about their wool, and whether they adhere to the Responsible Wool Standard. I emailed on Tuesday so will report back if/when they respond.

Laska2Meryls · 30/09/2021 12:43

Love the cardi Cherries..

I got a pair delivered this morning but not sure what to do - I like my tights on the bigger side as I like to really hoick them up, so I got a large, which toast said was 14-16. However, on the packaging it says 44-46 which I think is 18-20, so far too big.

love the skirt with those boots! it was made for you.
Saurus72 · 30/09/2021 13:42

@ilovecherries Ah yes, they would be far too big for you I think. I’m size 14, 5ft 6 and I cross-checked with the Falke website and ordered size medium, which says 40-42. I just tried them on and they are a good fit. However, I need to test them out because last AW I bought cotton tights from Waitrose, I think they’re JL brand. And they are so lovely - really cosy, true to size and they’re around £10. On my (admittedly limited - in my living room) initial test, the Falke version feel pretty similar to the JL ones, but they’re 3x the price. I need to do a scientific test in the field (ie, most likely on a beach walk) to decide whether to buy more or stick with the JL ones. I don’t mind paying £37 but they will need to be life-changing 🤓
