I have the jerkin looking at me atm, scottishmouse. I love it, but I'm thinking I could have a coat for that money. I also can't make up my mind about the size. I have a small as that's all they had, but it doesn't meet in the front, and I'm not sure if it should. OTOH, I can see it as being something I would still wear in 10 years, and that's getting more important for me.

I ordered the floral Jerkin Took a mad moment. Not sure I will keep it.

I like the denim one but absolutely love the floral one but just not sure what I will wear it with so Im thinking it will be returned before it has even arrived. It was FOMO. I ordered the medium @cherries

I know what you mean about sizing @ilovecherries. I tried the medium today but have tried both small and medium previously. I think it shouldn’t meet at the front, the small was probably the right size for me but the medium would fit more layers underneath. What would you wear it with (out of interest)?

Can I get opinions on the workwear dress, pls? I showed my mum on Skype this morning and she said ‘I feel I should be asking you for a pound of dirty carrots and a bag of tatties with that get up on’🙄. This is a 12.

Honestly, I think it looks great @ilovecherries. I would have kept the one I ordered if I was a couple of inches taller.

I really like it on you but I think it needs boots or tights and shoes or trainers.

I personally love the socks and shoes with it.

It would also look great with just a sandal.

I think this may be the issue with me. However if you look at silverclothesline on instagram, she wears it over denim dresses. It looks fab!

I think the floral one is worse for putting it on with other things. I always fall in love with pattern though!

It looks great @ilovecherries but I’m not keen on the strip of bare leg either. I agree with @neveradullmoment99.

the legs are a red herring - I whipped my trousers off to try it . Although I quite like the look, tbh!

Another vote for keeping it Cherries. Is it your normal Toast size? I tried it on and had to size down from that as too much cleavage in my normal size...

12 is my normal high street size, and I tend to just buy the same in Toast. I know lots of people size down, but I sort of reckon they look as they are intended in my actual size. Having said that, I did try this in a 10 as well, and while it possibly looked better standing up, I felt it was pulling on the bum sitting down.

I think I’m probably having the same issue as you with that question. I go ‘oh, that would go with lots, like, well a shirt and trousers and…um…’ SilverClothesLine wears hers with everything though.

@ilovecherries, yes I looked at her Instagram earlier and she wears both the denim and the floral ones with lots of different things. I am not great with clashing patterns or too many layers, maybe because I am short I feel overwhelmed. I fancied just wearing it with tops and trousers, but it looked odd with a lot of tops I tried with it. It looks good with a long shirt (or maybe even a standard length shirt), but I rarely wear shirts, and don’t want to have to buy things to go with it, I want it to work with lots of what I have but it doesn’t. Hmmmm….

Like your outfits Ilovecherries I reakon your Mum and my Dad went to the same charm school, so his comment on my new jumpsuit was are you a friend of chairman Mao? 😂

🙈. Hope I manage to retain at least some filters in the future. Although my dd is probably robust enough to tell me to bugger off if I pulled that. You look fabulous in your jumpsuit.

@ilovecherries I didn’t think the dress was flattering on you - could have been the camera angle, it looks too big. I think should put it in your wardrobe and try it on again in a week’s time - then decide - if you still love it then keep it!

Thank you @neveradullmoment99 @faustina @ilovecherries for all your useful Gabi thoughts. I think I do need a try on! I’m also a bit disappointed that the concrete ones are reported as having a green tinge really not what I want. I really like the cream ones they did last year, bone I think? But they’re sold out in 10 & 12.
I think you’re right that the fixed waist ones might be better but elastic sounds much more comfy for sitting at my desk all day
Thanks all you’re a lovely bunch and made me laugh yesterday after an upsetting work issue. Loved all the talk of derelict tractors, pot throwing and ladders….if I didn’t think I’d injure myself l’d be so tempted to recreate one of these in a photo. I live rurally and there is a very old tractor in the field next door plus I have an ancient plum tree I could try to climb? No artisan wooden ladder though sadly… more an aluminium paint spattered affair here
