I was pondering this morning the huge number of products I use in 20minutes each morning and wondered what everyone else uses/how many? I am mid-40s and have definitely honed my favourites.

In shower
L'occiitane Almond shower oil
Aussie Purple Shampoo and Conditioner
Declor face wash
Sainsbury's shaving gel if shaving

Body
Mitchum roll on
JM blackberry and bay
Or
Origins Ginger Rush body cream
Then either
JM blackberry and bay perfume
Or
Origins Ginger Essence

Face
Biore watery essence
Trinny BBF cream/or tinted serum
Trinny eye BBF concealer
Eyes
Boutique waterproof brow pomade
Maybelline colour tattoo creamy beige base
Trinny victory over
Rimmel exaggerate waterproof eyeliner
No 7 stay perfect Mascara
Lip and cheek Trinny Phoebe and Vaseline over lips
Ambient hourglass palette over all if I need it
Trinny Sunshine to cheekbones
Hair- Aveda damage remedy hair cream
Elnett hairspray when finished

So- 23!
And a complete mixture of the market.
What's your routine?

Indecisivelurcher · 17/08/2021 21:49

Um, sensodyne, little blue hen shampoo bar, faith in nature conditioner, that watery essence Suncream mumsnet told me about which is great but comes from somewhere far across the sea so I can't buy it again, and a tinted moisturiser I forget the name of that is in a glass bottle?!

3boysNeedABiggerKitchen · 17/08/2021 21:56

6fingerkitkat · 17/08/2021 22:33

I am fascinated but these extensive (by my standards) routines.
How do you find all these products? And work out what's good for your skin?

I admire the motivation to do all these things every day.. it's probably my depression blocking my way but even a morning shower, hair dry and mascara /eyeliner feels exhausting after 2/3 days. Not helped by being single parent and having less time for everything.

PandoraP · 17/08/2021 22:36

I swim or go to the gym every morning
Shower - shampoo Paul Mitchell to remove Chlorine and conditioner for hair

I would love to be minimal, but I just can’t whittle things down to any less - not if I want to look and feel good when leaving the house.

fitflopqueen · 18/08/2021 08:13

Shower - Nuxe shower gel, sometimes Sanctuary scrub, currently a Dove shampoo/conditioner but only every 3/4 days for hair wash. Use conditioner for shaving too.

Face - Cleanse & polish - Aldi at present, put contact lens in then hydration layer - varies, moisturise- varies vitamin e body shop today. brush teeth

Body - nuxe body creme & Dove deodorant.

Makeup - Nuxe primer, M&S eye crayon, Maybelline mascara and clarins lip protector, squirt of perfume.

I subscribe to Birchbox so have lots of different samples on the go.

FedNlanders · 18/08/2021 09:35

I feel so much better when I do less. Its very freeing!
Coffeepot72 · 18/08/2021 10:08

I may possibly feel better by doing less, but I would definitely look worse!

Lotionsandpotions · 18/08/2021 22:30

This thread was made for me Grin!! Have come into bathroom to check products...

Morning shower
Faith in Nature grapefruit shower gel or a Korres one (these are getting hard to find)

Korres shampoo/conditioner for coloured hair or Kerastase Elixir, sometimes L’Oreal SerieExpert purple shampoo

Sometimes Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs or St Tropez wash off

Makeup (weekdays only for work)
Either Clarins Skin Illusion foundation or Bare Minerals loose powder

Toner as before
No night treatment for eyes, always wake up puffy if I do
Face oil
Elemis Night Matrix cream

That's it.

Just been through a whole drawer full of unused products and make-up that well-meaning people like MIL give me every Christmas and have bagged it up for the Beauty Bank. I'm just low maintenance and happy with it.

LuluJakey1 · 22/08/2021 22:25

Bath- whatever bath or body wash we have.
Face just water and a flannel.
L'Oreal Elvive shampoo.
Clean teeth- electric toothbrush, little floss brushers, sensitive teeth toothpaste, Corsodyl daily mouthwash.

No make-up most days. If I do it's Bobbi Brown blusher, highlighter eyeliner, mascara and Mac lipstick.

Deodorant whatever I bought at the supermarket.

Clarins Eau ressourcante body creme and perfume every day.

I am not a fussy woman.

Wond3rment · 22/08/2021 22:55

  • Lidl shaving gel for underarms twice a week

  • Rituals body moisturiser or Dove gradual tan
  • Roll on
  • Perfume

Face:

  • Guinot cleansing milk
  • Simple toner
  • Hydraulic acid
  • Guinot eye care
  • Guinot SPF 30 moisturiser

Teeth:

  • Whatever toothpaste I have bought, usually a whitening product

For a basic day

  • By Terry Primer
  • Brow product
  • Rimmel concealer
  • Eye shadow
  • No. 7 Mascara
  • Nars Bronzer
  • No. 7 blush
  • By Terry Hydraulic setting powder
  • No. 7 lipstick

23 separate products, a marketeer’s dream

SocksAndTheCity · 22/08/2021 23:51

Currently (I have a lot of GWP products to get through, so the specifics change a lot); this is on days where I have the time to faff. I go out early one day a week and do literally nothing bar deodorant and brush teeth.

Original Source mango shower gel or the dark green Radox one with exfoliating gloves
Brazilian bum bum cream on rough bits and whatever body butter is lying about on the rest (Sanctuary Mande Lular usually)

Rinse face in shower with plain water as I usually have an overnight mask on (Clinique or Glow Recipe at the moment)
Fresh Kombucha face essence on clean face
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum or The Ordinary Hyaluronic, followed by The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors
Brush teeth while skincare settles in

Some kind of oil/shine stuff on hair, twisted into a coil and clipped up (it's long)
Primer (The Ordinary silicone one usually but I also have the Honest Beauty mattifying one which is great), then concealer anywhere that needs it (Rimmel Hide The Blemish as per the last 35 years or so)
Benefit eyelash primer in a brown colour; I sometimes wear the mascara over it but often don't bother
Nars Orgasm blusher
Nars Tanganyka sheer lipstick w some liner on first; sometimes a lip plumper if I remember
Perfume - usually a couple of different ones

Get dressed before leaving Smile
