Help me find an edgy outfit for a works do

I’m having palpitations at the thought of ‘evening wear’!!

I tend to favour more edgy clothing but not extremely so - e.g. for a work day I would wear waist high jeans, oversized white t (tucked in) black blazer and red converse.
I also have a gorgeous faux leather biker jacket from super dry that I want to ‘plan’ my outfit around.
I’m thinking black dress with some lace and ankle boots with my leather jacket?

Without seeing the dress a boots it sounds a bit stark or gothic, but could be wonderful.
I like playing around with juxtaposition styling which is really just a pretentious way of describing what people already do when mixing trainers with dresses etc. If I didn’t already have a dress for a wedding later this year I would buy a version this skirt and match it with a really crisp white or navy shirt but you plan with your jacket made me think it would work for you too?

What type of do is it OP?

It’s a corporate thing - a day conference then an evening awards thing plus more conference-y type stuff. They’re a fairly modern company so although they state ‘evening wear’ - they won’t be overly stuffy about how we interpret that

Not outdoor but usually end up congregating outside to escape the larger crowd

My jacket was more of a ‘I will probably wear this and is the inspiration for the whole outfit’ kind of thing

The floriza skirt would look amazing with the jacket, although I'd wear a fancier t shirt. Eg sleeveless and made from a great fabric.

Yes - I think so! Haven’t ordered anything yet but I think a black/lace skater style dress with ankle boots, black leather jacket, some statement earrings, smoky eye make up.

OP is it possible to get hair done at a salon?

I have been channelling this exact hairdo all summer, followed this tutorial and it worked really well. She ‘creates’ a fringe from her hair but like you I have a heavy fringe so just styled it parted in the centre
