Help me find an edgy outfit for a works do

I’m having palpitations at the thought of ‘evening wear’!!

I tend to favour more edgy clothing but not extremely so - e.g. for a work day I would wear waist high jeans, oversized white t (tucked in) black blazer and red converse.
I also have a gorgeous faux leather biker jacket from super dry that I want to ‘plan’ my outfit around.
I’m thinking black dress with some lace and ankle boots with my leather jacket?

I’m average height and a size 10 if that helps.

Is it a black leather jacket op? If so I wouldn't wear a black dress, I don't particularly like the one you have posted. Would you wear a print or animal print?
