Soap bar for body...

As there's a face thread going. I've been using Dove but have read that actual soap bars are better. Can you recommend me yours please, especially if they're not too expensive!

I’ve got a bit of a soap problem tbh and now get them as gifts from people so I’ve got a box full and don’t find much difference between them. They’ve all given me a squeaky clean feeling I never got from shower gel and they lather nicely on a shower poof.

Something with cocoa butter and a nice scent that’s to your taste and you’ll be good. I’ll find something specific.

Nesti Dante - lots of different lovely fragrances. Available on Amazon. Also, Savon de Marseille - again, available on Amazon. I don't like Dove etc. Real soap is much better!

Pears

TK Maxx do great Italian soaps. They’re big and are usually about £3.99 each. They last ages.

Pears soap

I love the smell of pears and use it as hand soap, but it's a bit too drying for me to use in the shower.

I use Jo Malone Red Roses soap to match scent for me and something more androgynous for bathrooms and hand basins. Usually L’Occitane milk Shea that suits most people.

Jo Malone soaps are incredible. Way out of my budget these days but happy memories, amazing scents.

I love this soap, it's made in Yorkshire and it's completely natural. Smells amazing too!

Just on some of these recommends: sodium palmate is palm oil. It's not always obvious to those trying to avoid it.

Palm oil is used is soap because it's a relatively cheap ingredient with some good qualities not found in the other two oils usually included (olive and coconut). But those same qualities can be provided by other oils/butters so it's not necessary.

Nesti Dante. Using the coconut one at the moment and it's lovely.

I love lush soap bars. Also second the tkmaxx suggestion. I have always used bars on my body and face - love that bar- soapy-clean feeling! And no plastic bottle waste - bonus.

Probably get flamed but Tropic pebbles are really good. Really liked the ones I got in a gift basket and they lather really well and smell great .

Budget toiletry shops eg Savers Home Bargains etc have them.

I like Imperial Leather soap.
