SOTD Opium - I smell very wintry atm. ❄️ Am trying to decide if I think Opium is Christmassy, but am still not sure, it definitely smells like winter to me though.

Opium is very wintery!
Anything with spices and cloves is wintery imo :)

My dad bought me an early Christmas present so trying it as my SOTD!

Has anyone else tried the new Zara Jo Malone perfumes? I blind-bought Energetically New York. In the rollerball it smells quite spicy but I don’t really get that on the skin, sadly. It smells a lot like Olfactive Studio ‘Flashback in New York’ which is a bit sweaty to me. Interestingly, the Frangrantica reviews liken both to Santal 33.

I’ve also got Stunningly Venice as a Christmas gift for a Venice lover

My sense of smell has changed. I've gone back through a load of samples I had previously rejected, and now I really like lots of them. 🤷‍♀️

@FloraMacDonald This happens to me, too! Sometimes I absolutely hate a sample, then when I return a few months later it becomes a firm favourite. Samsara was one of these for me, and quite a few others actually. Maybe your taste in perfumes has changed slightly?

SOTD is Cinnabar layered over Youth Dew. 🎄 I quite like this combination, the YD adds a bit of extra depth and spiciness to the top of the Cinnabar, and the middle and base just seem to meld together seamlessly. I can honestly say it smells beautiful (and Christmassy!). 🎄🎅

I've had this too. I think it's from getting more interested in perfume and having tried a wider range in the meantime. Developing your 'palate'

I had this with MITPG and CbyC!
Didn't think much of either samples of them a couple of years ago them WHAM! I adore both now 😍 💕
