Seasalt sale

Seasalt are having a mid-season sale. It's not a place I do a lot of shopping in, but they recently started a maternity range, which included some jeans....Waterdance trousers. I'm not pregnant..too old at 64, but maternity jeans can sometimes work for me as I'm apple shaped.

I have one pair of these, and wanted another pair as I wear them so much, but at £62.50 a pop, they're not exactly cheap. However, in the sale, these jeans are reduced to £22.50, so I snapped up two more pairs.

Just thought I would share my good luck!!!!!!!!

**LIVE in them not love, but I do love them Grin

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor re your Lazy Trousers. Is the thickness of them ok? One of the reviews say they go baggy quickly when you have them on, which made me think a bit, though generally the reviews are good.

Geamhradh · 31/07/2021 15:48

I have the stripey tops in every colour way except the ones involving yellow. I have about 12 and live in them in spring and early summer. Good solid quality- not as top notch as Joules but 100% better than Boden for example whose quality is in freefall for tops.
I agree with pps about length though- I'm 5ft 10 and their other tops are neither one thing or the other. Too long to be t shirts, too short to be tunics. Makes them seem frumpy.
As for sizing- in M&S I'm a 14 top. In Seasalt a 16-18.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2021 16:17

I like the striped tops better than the Joules ones - the Joules ones are too thick for warm days, and too thick for wearing a cardigan over on cool days.

Yes, I'd agree, the quality of the Joules ones is so good, it makes them too thick!
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2021 17:39

The Seasalt ones are a better fit on me too. The Joules ones are too boxy. I just wish Seasalt did better colours!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 31/07/2021 17:53

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants they are thick , not sure if they'll go baggy as I haven't worn them yet just tried them on.

CrotchetyQuaver · 31/07/2021 18:16

Ha! Just got back from the local branch. I've bought the red stripy 3/4 sleeve top in a 20 (broad shoulders, back and big bust) TBH it's a bit too big which is kind of pleasing. Anyone know what shrinkage is like as it'll get tumble dried? I might go see if they've the 18 online.

I've only bought from them this year, so I'm late to the party, it seems lovely stuff

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 31/07/2021 21:04

Ffs I've just ordered a skirt, I need to stop now.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 01/08/2021 14:03

Gosh @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor, you're really cooking with gas! I'm going somewhere tomorrow with an actual Seasalt shop, so I can go in and fondle the merchandise, fnar, fnar Grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/08/2021 14:06

I know Blush

I've not bought any clothes for ages and am pig sick of the ones I have.

I had a good wardrobe clear out and decided I want all my clothes from Seasalt from now onGrin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 12:39

My Pottering Gown arrived, omg I feel like a woman from the arts and crafts era floating around in it Grin Bloody gorgeous, I hate dressing gowns normal as I end up looking like a sack of spuds tied in the middle but this is really flattering and nice front patch pockets too!! 💜

nordica · 02/08/2021 14:36

Really annoyed by their website - twice now I've tried to order something from the sale and it shows as being in stock but then doesn't let me add it into basket because there are none left. Oh well, I probably don't need any more clothes anyway but quite fancied some culottes and a lightweight rain coat.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 18:46

I haven't experienced that with Seasalt but I have with other websites and it's really annoyingAngry

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 18:47

Think I might get my jamas on and my Pottering Gown Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/08/2021 19:30

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor. Today I have been to the Seasalt shop in Chester and bought one of the apple tops in the sale. I blame you, of course.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 20:04

You can blame meGrin What colour did you get? I got the mustardy green and the navy.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/08/2021 20:25

Ok, I shall. Colour is catkin.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/08/2021 20:26

The mustardy green might be the catkin one in fact. Only other green I saw was more emerald, but I was quite excited, let loose in a full Seasalt shop, so.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/08/2021 20:28

@fuckyeahpercywigwam sorry to derail. I did have a bit of a look at trousers, but I felt I'd gone mad enough for one day.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 20:45

I have catkin and yacht. Not sure if the catkin suits me tbh, but worth a risk.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 20:47

I am tempted to get the other colour Pottering Gown

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 20:51

I bought one of each colour, put them wrong sides together and sewed around the edges of the gowns and sleeves.I now have a reversible gown which I do indeed use to potter around in,and in my sewing shed to keep me warm.I removed the belt loops so at present it has no fastening and is just loose.I may form a fastening of some description in the future

This review from the website made me laugh, ingenious Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/08/2021 13:11

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor get it! You know you want to. I'm going to look at yacht now. Stupid name for a colour tho...

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 03/08/2021 13:36

I DO want to! Grin
