India Hicks has put more wedding photos on Instagram and you can see video footage from the wedding on her stories. Looks like her daughter had her hands full shepherding the little bridesmaids and pages!

On closer inspection India's dress is made from a brocade fabric and I think the simplicity of the cut shows that off beautifully.

The Japanese Crown Princess being Princess Kiko, the Emperor’s sister in law (rather than his daughter Princess Aiko) wrongfooted me there, my first thought was that you must have mistaken her age. But no, I had forgotten that women are absolutely excluded from the line of succession in Japan. I saw recently that they are considering making it acceptable to adopt male heirs into the line, to avoid the problem that the dearth of boy children is causing them. Or they could just rethink their position on women….sigh.

Here are the Hello pictures of the Ogilvy wedding. I like Julia's silver shoes. Princess Alexandra at 84 is still so elegant. The pink silk is lovely. Also, the little bridesmaids look really sweet, very pretty dresses.

It seems strange that it's still like that, Serenster, I didn't realise women couldn't inherit.

True . I think some other guests were in different colours. Sometimes I find S&B very ageist, there's no hope after 40 etc, then I look at people like Alexandra, still stylish in her 80s!

James Middleton has announced he married his fiancée Alizée Thevenet in a small ceremony on France yesterday. He posted the following photo in instagram - I doubt we’ll see any more, as it looks very low-key and he’s a very low key guy. Her dress looks lovely (boho chic, though no floral crown, thankfully) though.

I can’t imagine they wouldn’t all be there, KillingMeDeftly - they all seem very close-knit still. James and Alizée actually lived at the Middleton’s house for much of last year I think.

I do wish them both much happiness - he’s been open about his past mental health struggles and seems to have chosen a quiet life in the country with his wife and lovely dogs (his instagram feed is a delight is you are a dog-lover ) over the more public lifestyles his sisters have chosen.
