Everyday pink lippy

Any recommendations for a lovely rose pink or dusky pink lippy? I'm a student atm so small treats are so nice these days but I really can't justify spending loads on a lippy so the cheaper the better, though I realise £5 or £6 is no doubt miles better than £2 - £3! I bought a Boots Natural Collection one and it's like a melted crayon 😕
Nice colour but terrible quality so it's now in the possession of my 10 yo dd!
My colouring is fair & I'm looking for something that would do everyday/for work/out in the pub. Tia for suggestions & looking forward to availing of the collective wisdom!

Another vote for Rimmel Asia

lemmeavabru · 31/07/2021 01:14

I also use it as a blush!

LunaTheCat · 31/07/2021 02:10

Bobbi Brown sand washed pink - pricey but lovely.

If you don’t like the drying of your lips when you use a matte lipstick, apply a clear lip balm first, not too much, then apply your matte lipstick. It makes all the difference.

Sanguinesuzy · 31/07/2021 13:29

I think you can do a test at Boots that identifies the colour that suits you best going off your skin tone etc, bit like the one that they do to work out which foundation is best.

Wizzbangfizz · 31/07/2021 14:05

I might buy rimmel Asia today! This thread and my coral one have proved expensive (eyes 3 trillion lipsticks but am still yet to find the one)

lollipoprainbow · 31/07/2021 14:07

Poundland do some nice pink lipsticks

Badabingbadabum · 01/08/2021 06:51

I think I might try the rose records one as well. Now there might be some other people in the office I might wear lipstick (so people are distracted from the jeans I wear now!)

justaweeone · 01/08/2021 17:16

Although I love Rimmel Asia
Just rediscover this lipstick in my make up

Really comfortable to wear as well

OP, forgot to say in my previous post that I love Charlotte Tilbury Gracefully Pink (used to be called Amazing Grace). Maybe one for the Xmas List.

I'm always searching for the holy grail of a daytime lipstick that doesn't make me look like I'm in drag/dead.

I really like the colour of Benefit Posie Tint but it's not long lasting and is impractical to keep applying because you need a mirror (it is a bottle of liquid with an applicator). Benefit used to do tinted balms in a lipstick that were perfect but of course they've discontinued them as is par for the course for anything I like.

I bought Rimmel Asia after reading many S&B recommendations but it did nothing for me. I'm 49 and quite pale with blue eyes.

Anyway I've ordered a Rimmel lipstick in Pink Blush that is just £3.99 today and I'm hopeful as ever that it will be The One Hmm

Deal of the day: Rimmel London Lasting Finish Long-lasting Lipstick, 6 Pink Blush, 4 g https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0067K30I6/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttidllN2JBQ4MWBB8DHJDYZCKJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Busy weekend!
K, first one is Rose Records - the pinkest one. I wasn't expecting to like it but I love it! For me, definitely not for day time though so it's my new going out colour so it'll appear about once a year
I haven't applied v.much in any of the pics and they look different on camera but you'll get the idea

Pink Lane - it's got a bit of shimmer which I've never liked in a lippy but I've since (the pic) blended it with a wee bit of balm and I do like it. It would definitely work for day-to-day / pub / work

I don't think Asia is cool enough for me, shame as it's a lovely colour.

justaweeone · 02/08/2021 11:54

They're all lovely OP

LunaTheCat · 02/08/2021 11:56

Oh love Rose Records!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 02/08/2021 12:20

Rimmel Vintage Pink is nice,I used to wear that a lot.

CheerfulBunny · 02/08/2021 13:52

I've got back into Drop of Sherry by Rimmel which I think I was buying when I was 15! I reckon I would suit pretty much anyone and I get it for about £3 on ebay. I'd happily wear it every day. It's pinky/brown nude with a bit of shimmer, old school but flattering.

Fferny1 · 02/08/2021 14:36

Rose Records really suits your skin tone.

Let us know the verdict cosmopolitanplease when it arrives Smile

Ooh they are lovely! You have really nice shape lips. In fact, I have lip envy - mine are quite plump and shapeless so I struggle wearing lipstick

disconnected101 · 02/08/2021 17:21

Thank you Fferny1 & blahblahblah321
You're very kind!
blah I bet there are many people who envy your plump lips!

One of them has quite a cool tone - almost a bluish note. I think it may be Rose Records but I'll have a look later. I didn't quite mean I wasn't expecting to like it at all I mean I wasn't expecting to like it on. I might just start wearing it round the house...
