I'm taking DD and her best friend to an ABBA tribute band at a local castle. They are beyond excited (they are 10).

No pic of me today. I overslept and woke up 8 mins before my first MS Teams meeting this morning. Only time for a quick swoosh of a toothbrush and to throw on a T-shirt with fetching PJ bottoms!!! The joys of WFH

@Shannith it's the most complex knit I will have made since DD was a baby. I'm hoping I can do it justice but it's an online knit along and we will encourage each other and it's run by an experienced knitter ( and yarn shop owner). My wool arrived!

Wow @Sooverthemill I might just about be able to remember how to cast on and that's it!

Went to the Zoo today the jeans didn't survive the youngest had dusty feet mark on me.

@Sickoffamilydrama I love the jumpsuit. Silk Fred has something similar which has a v-neck (suits me better) that I'm planning to buy. I wish I already had as I'm going out for dinner tomorrow, I'd like to wear it!

Hoping it warms up but I don’t think it will. Technically I’m gardening this weekend. DH is planting out a new bed I’ve designed. I’m supervising. He loves physical work. I like the end product. Also have a cream tea lined up for later. If DD can eat today ( ordered 3 weeks ago online and since Sunday she’s not been able to eat). Hopefully I can enjoy it with her

It seems to be grey and slightly humid today. Which I suspect is going to make it a little tricky to get all the laundry DD brought back from her camping trip washed and dried.

Here is my effort for a casual dinner out with friends this evening. It's local, low-key, not dressy but I have tried on ALL
Possibilities more than once - I'm exhausted!

I am worried that the top screams 'MIDDLE AGED!!' but it'd be true so why worry? It's an old faithful that I pull out every now and again as it hides a multitude of sins

@MeridasMum I have tried to turn my thinking about aging on its head, my DM very much valued herself by her looks and is negative about aging but the alternative is dying young and then no one will know how you aged! There's nothing wrong with looking 30/40/50 or whatever.

Great dress @Sickoffamilydrama! V old faithful harem pants, and shoes, as no one on Webex can see them, lol. Black top is a scoop neck cashmere jumper from somewhere obscure - probably got it in a sale. Put it with a white collar (just a collar - you wear it under tops etc - genius item if you don’t want to actually wear a proper shirt) - got it from Mimi’s Edit.

I've added a navy mohair cardigan and swapped out sandals for shoes. Almost contemplating putting on the heating. It is freezing. And I have a new summer dress arriving tomorrow.

Belt - very old, 20 odd years, no idea where it's from. Knowing my old shopping habits, probably topshop.

Grenson boot decisions....

The ones with sheepskin are the comfiest ever but would they work with black tights?

I'll try and find some.
