I love those trainers @OublietteBravo

@Sooverthemill that dress really suits you :)

@EllaPaella passenger clothing keeps coming up on my facebook, probably as I have been googling swim robes and can't decide on a brand!

PalacePaper · 04/08/2021 11:08

Working from home today - dress from sainsburys. Enjoy the sunshine everyone who has it! @EllaPaella your day sounds perfect Smile

@Sooverthemill that dress is lovely
@OublietteBravo I really like your outfit today. How frustrating about the lights! I hope it gets sorted
@Sickoffamilydrama have a great holiday!

@PalacePaper your outfit is more exciting than mine - I like the joggers very much.

@EllaPaella looking good - enjoy the sun and beach!

@obliettebravo very funky outfit and the lights would drive me mad. Would throwing something the length of the office work? Despite having a very corporate job when I worked in an office I took every opportunity to be unprofessional and that would have pleased me.

Yard and dog walking. I actually doing stuff that involves not people and horses for the next two days so hopefully will up my game.

Top - hollister
Riding tights - Amazon
Trainers Asics

Sunny and warm today but with a strong wind. Only worked until lunchtime then DS and I pottered in the garden this afternoon.

Trousers : Hush cropped easy trousers
T Shirt : Rock & Ruby

I promise I do wear other shoes that aren't slippers Grin

@Sooverthemill I love that dress. Re your previous reference to Sezane, have you had any issues with customs post Brexit? I love their stuff but don't want to be hit with a massive bill by my postie if I end up spending more than the threshold amount (£125 I think)

@KiteflyingKat I'm tempted by Lucy&Yak but not sure if I'm too short (5ft 4in) - how do you find them and how do they size? Are they flattering as well as comfy?

KiteflyingKat · 04/08/2021 18:17

Sun came out so I changed

Dress - vintage M&S (old-school “St Michael” label Grin ) £3 from charity shop

Belt - charity shop

Shoes - TK Maxx.

I was quite happy with this outfit…….but then I got asked if I was pregnant again Blush

Love the blue in that shirt @OublietteBravo

It's been a glorious day today we've been to Dartmouth and on a boat trip.

Was going to wear this dress all day but sunburnt my chest so had to cover up glad I did as there wasn't much shade.

@20FlowerPower

My L&Y trousers are the “Alexa” in size small/30.

I’m 5”7 and size 10/12. I’d like them to be slightly longer tbh as I turn them up. So length might be fine for you.

It took me a while to get used to them - at first I felt like they looked massive as I was used to skinny jeans, but now I love them.

I found the material a bit stiff & rough at first but it’s better now after lots of washing.

Sooverthemill · 04/08/2021 19:26

@20FlowerPower sadly I buy lots from Sézane and there are no issues with fees and charges post Brexit. There was a hairy week or 10 days immediately afterwards but that was sorted really fast. Now they seem to have slightly increased the cost for some popular items but apart from the £12 shipping fee if you spend under £200 ( I think, maybe £210) there are no extras. Any customs or VAT are met by Sézane. What most people do is buy enough to get free shipping and return those items. It's DHL who deliver and collect plus to return ( to a UK address). I do recommend them but I try not to get caught up in the hype- I definitely did when I first discovered them but am now much more circumspect and buy good quality basics and a few special things. @EllaPaella has an amazing dress from Sézane. I now have 2 dresses and jumpers and far too many T-shirt's! I buy via the Facebook addicts groups too as well as eBay. At present Sézane stuff holds its price but I doubt it will for long ( like hush used to or toast does). There is a point at which you will get free delivery for ever like with hush ( I reached that a long time ago!) but I haven't got there yet....

Thank you all for the Hush dress love. I really like it. So comfortable in this weather and it feels both special and practical ( pockets!)

Sooverthemill · 04/08/2021 19:28

Also someone I know does get free shipping and will buy me stuff like a t shirt to get delivered to me so I don't have to spend £12 on an odd thing or risk buying £200 when I only want a tshirt.

20FlowerPower · 04/08/2021 19:45

Thanks @KiteflyingKat and @Sooverthemill - although my credit card may not be thanking you once I place my orders Grin

Sooverthemill · 05/08/2021 08:28

It’s the last sunny day for a few days so in a dress again
Dress: Rae Feather ( had seamstress shorten by 6 inches and am very happy)
Sandals: air and grace

New gardener starting today, hope he’s better at weed identification than DH! Gardeners are like gold here…

The day started with quite pleasant weather, it's now raining and chilly so I've put a cardigan on!

Dress - Boden
Cardigan - Benetton

Going for a rare evening out with DH later, no idea what to wear - I was going to wear a long dress with sandals, but now I need to think of something that will work with wet weather shoes Grin

Dug this one out as I love it but haven’t worn it for ages. It’s ‘vintage’ Vivienne Westwood, with my old fave Moschinos that don’t necessarily go but it doesn’t really matter when you work via webex!

Well most of the day was spent in an anorak as it was raining. But did get a swim in the sea this afternoon when it cleared up.

Rubbish weather and am already knackered having been awake since 4 and it wasn’t even DD. DH has to have a biopsy which is annoying ( and he’s had these several times, he gets an odd PSA result and off we go) but also the gardener was dreadful and has weeded actual plants. If my back was stronger I’d do the weeding but I can’t.
I did go through my short sleeve t shirts though a d found this one I thought I’d lost. I have too many t shirts
Tee: hush for NHS charity last year
Jeans: hush
Sandals: Birkenstock’s

I absolutely love your dress @Purplecatshopaholic. Really lovely.

And both your outfits from Wednesday were fab @KiteflyingKat. (You don’t look remotely pregnant in the dress).

I’m WFH today. I chose my outfit largely on its washability as I have a watercolour class later, and I have a tendency to make a mess.

Blouse: Hobbs
Belt: Mint Velvet
Jeans: Gap
Trainers: Jigsaw

20FlowerPower · 06/08/2021 08:47

Sorry to hear you've had a rough start to the day @Sooverthemill Thanks

Yesterday was a nightmare day - had to take both DS (7) and DD (4) for a PCR so we all had to isolate whilst DH and I attempted to WFH. Thankfully both came back this morning as negative. DD has been packed back to nursery today, but poor DS has to isolate until Monday as he was pinged. Sigh.

Today it's wet and wild and warm here:

Shirt : Topshop (old)
Trousers : Hush cropped easy

Great work on the painting @OublietteBravo !

I’m in an LK Bennett top & Hush trousers, both charity shop buys. I wasn’t sure about the top but I read fluorescent colours are in and it’s one of my colours. Really pleased with the trousers. Especially as we’re no longer allowed to wear jeans in the office and I need (smart-casual) alternatives. I nearly overlooked them as the label says size 8 but they fit, must be vanity sizing Wink
