Asked for blonde, got ginger again.

My hair is dark brown and grey. I've been trying to go blonde for 3 years and achieved a good colour prior to covid most of the time. I have foils.

My last hairdresser didn't do a good job last time and it was really warm and gingery. Just tried a new hairdresser and it's even more golden. What's going wrong? Am I being unrealistic? I'm asking for ash, bright blonde.

Off for a fix tomorrow. What do I need to do??

I'm dark blonde naturally and have always had it blonder.
I loved the look of my root bleach but after 18 months it started to snap. I was so careful with products and no heat too. I think it only works if you are prepared to have super short hair, otherwise just too damaging. Like has been said above, foils can't go right to the scalp
