Hi all,

I'm after one of these. I wanted it in red but it's discontinued. It's only available in black and rose beige. I don't really wear black - I like warm, deep colours and jewel colours. I don't have a black bag so maybe that's reason enough to go for black.

Beige would be more my thing as a neutral, but I'm just not sure. (I want the red!).

They only seem to do two colours. Maybe they do a seasonal one at times?

Any words of wisdom?

It’s a nice bag but the beige is very brown.

I be not seen the red available for years.

They used to offer quite a few colours so the fact there are just two colours makes me think they're phasing this style out.

If you want a red bag, find another red bag, I don't think you'll be happy with this particular bag in black or rose beige.

It might be worth looking on Vestiaire Collective to see if there are any red Disco bags. If not, so many designer brands make bags almost identical to this style that you'll find something similar. (The fact so many other brands have copied this style is probably why Gucci have discontinued it.)

I had a red one, but sold it, great bag, perfect size but I have just too many bags. My friend has this bag and its pretty much identical to the Disco, lovely leather and well finished.

I saw the one on Farfetch but I'm not sure I trust them. Not heard of them before but have done some rooting around and there are reports of fakes?

Yes, and I like the slighly metallic tones of it. I'm an "autumn' colour wise, so it would go with lots of my clothes, and it would go with more than the red, I feel. I bit less in your face too.

It's also £150 cheaper than the red one I've found.

Farfetch are fine, completely trustworthy. It's a network of independent boutiques across Europe, including Browns in London. It's based in London and Natalie Massenet (who founded Net-a-Porter) is at the helm.

You wanted red, buy the red!

Oh wow, I didn't know that. Their reviews online aren't great so I was worried.

I do really like the camel but omg the taxes (the bag is in the US) add up to £170!!

I have ordered several things over the past few years and have had no issues. Refunds have always been dealt with promptly too.

If you're considering buying from the US, check out TheRealReal too and also ReBag. I have bought from the former although it tends to be clothing.

Thank you @sansucre. I have the red one in my basket but Farfetch have sent me a 10% off voucher for signing up to their email list, but when I go to add it at checkout it says my purchase doesn't qualify. I can't find anything to say why. I will need to call them in the morning.

(Although I still like the camel - not seen one that colour before).

I have the red one & adore it. It really lifts plain outfits. Because it’s small it’s not in your face. I use it for evenings out mainly or special days out. You can get a camel bag anywhere, but really gorgeous red bags are hard to find! It’s a lovely true red too, not too orange, not too blue.
Can’t believe how much they’ve gone up in price though since I bought mine!

Farfetch are great and I order from them loads but discounts always exclude Gucci (anywhere!)

I also have the red and I adore it, it goes with everything. I also have the camel - I bought both second hand but they're immaculate after a lot of use.
The camel is a little dull but the red is my favourite bag ever!

@NinnyNewName Don't waste your time calling, it will be due to brand exclusions that various brands (usually Gucci, Prada and Celine to name a few) have in place and are never part of these 'goodwill/new client' discount offers. It's the same on Net-a-Porter, Matchesfashion, 24S and other websites of their ilk.

As I woke up this morning in my bedding, and read your messages I thought "of course it has to be the red, duh".

Ordered.

It's in Portugal and I paid a little extra for expedited shipping. I also did a lot of reading about Farfetch last night.

@Journeynotdestination it's a lot of money for me to spend on a bag, but I've been after one for a while. I can tell you that they do hold their prices very well, even 'good', not 'excellent' condition ones.

Yay! You won’t regret it OP. BTW, I use a handbag organiser in mine to avoid the interior getting marked. It’s by Tintamar, but plenty on Amazon too. Definitely takes the stress out of using the bag when I have makeup etc in it. It fits inside perfectly.
