Mother of Groom in trouble!

Please can someone, anyone, help me?

My son is getting married next month and I just can’t find anything I like to wear.

It’s at a country hotel, not overly formal but smart.

I am well endowed (34ff) and I’m not looking to put them on display. Much smaller bottom half. I usually go for a shift style dress size 14-16 to accommodate the norks but sometimes need to get the bottom half taken in which is fine. I also have a tummy I’d like to hide as much as possible without sacrificing comfort.

Colour wise I’m a spring - clear bright colours. Something summery, maybe a bit floaty perhaps? Knee length or below - although my legs are my best bits I’m not of an age to show them off any more (especially at my sons wedding)

I’d like a dress and pretty cardigan I think - I’ve tried my usual Hobbs but there’s nothing there that looks right on.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

It's lovely and will accessorise really well. When I wear black and white for formal events, I usually go for red accessories - red hat or fascinator, red shoes and red lipstick, always works! Maybe a short fitted black jacket with a red flower pinned to the lapel too. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I think that dress will look great, and love the idea of green accessories, orange as an alternative.

I like your dress. You can't go wrong with Hobbs.

I've just had a look on the Nigel Rayment web site - beautiful dresses and lots of advice. i think I'll need to press-gang one of my sons up the aisle just to go shopping there.

What abo a Bravissimo dress which is designed for big boobs and the rest of you your normal size? There range doesn’t look that dressy online but you could accessorize and the fact you’d be wearing a dress to complement your boobs would make you feel comfortable? Sure they’d have stuff on eBay as well

I feel your pain tho, I used to be a 32HH and trying to find nice outfits that don’t make you look like a walking chest is a nightmare!

I love the dress you chose. You will look AMAZING on the day. Have a fantastic time :)
(And don't give the ex and the ex-friend a single thought. You are the MOB, you look incredible, you will be having a brilliant day!)

Love the dress you chose op, so much so I'm thinking of ordering it for my sister's wedding next year.
I absolutely love threads like this. The way people look for you makes me emotional! ( either that or weddings. I'm usually a blubbering wreck).

Have a wonderful day, hold your beautiful head up high and I know your son is proud of you.
