What can I wear on my legs that aren't jeans?

I can no longer wear jeans. A blood/skin condition is getting worse and anything that slightly rubs against me hurts. I've had jeans on today and I'm covered in hives Sad
Leggings don't hurt but I'm short and fat so don't wear them out of the house. I look terrible in joggers and chinos make my legs look like sausages. I also can't wear a belt as it gives me hives. I have a couple of pairs of Jersey wide leg trousers which are OK.

I like dresses/skirts with trainers when I'm wanting to be a bit smarter, but I don't know what to throw on when I'm running around to clubs, on school run etc.

I would love some ideas for soft, casual clothing that will look OK on a size 18 short arse!

I live in my Lucy and Yak Alexa trousers: lucyandyak.com/collections/alexa-trousers

I think I need to try some hareem trousers on. In my head I think of MC Hammer which isn't helping me to like the idea 😆

If Aspiga is within budget, they do lovely, incredibly comfortable harem trousers. Very non-Hammer. (Can't touch this..)

Jersey dungarees from Joules

Random thought- why don't you get a local dressmaker to make you some things that will really suit your condition. There are loads of people I'm sure who would love to create some clothes for you. You can choose the fabrics and patterns can be adapted to help.

Thanks all, I like those Lucy and Yak trousers and they're really reasonably priced too. I've been shopping and tried dungarees and that is a definite no, I am just not the right shape for them!

Winners so far are jersey culottes from next which are extremely light and soft, and jersey ankle grazers from M&S.
