Help - haircut in 3 hours, what to do?!

I posted miserable after my last haircut at Christmas - every salon I go to gives me the same boring long layered hair cut, I ask them for suggestions but obviously they aren’t comfortable doing something risky without me asking.

This is my very messy hair now (excuse how awful I look, just woke up 😂). Would love a fringe of some kind but can’t even figure out what shape my face is so no idea what would suit!

Please wise stylish people, help me! It’s my birthday, I’m sick of looking crap. Soon I have to make YouTube videos for my business (art tutorials basically) and I would like to look reasonably okay!

Ooh what are your curlers? About to try and use the tongs for the first time - hopefully I can avoid any major burns or looking too ridiculous! Definitely need some good hairspray that holds without being crunchy but I haven’t used hairspray for years - or do people use mousse or something instead? In fact any good wavy hair products would be great - my hair is much wavier than it used to be. I tried to figure out the curly girl method once and my brain melted - I literally couldn’t figure out what I needed to buy! I now have a diffuser so will try that out at some point but no clue what I’m doing.

These or any similar pair. I have your new length hair and do curls in about 6 minutes. I then turn my head upside down, hairspray all over and my curls last all day. The next day I have a bit wavy full looking hair.

I’ve seen these but worry I might scalp myself - I’m not brilliant at sectioning my hair.

My first attempts with the tongs was not great, so maybe I should take a gamble!

Honestly they are so easy, I put my hair half up with a clip, curl the back/underneath it takes 7 curls. Then take out the clip and curl all my hair, probably about 14 goes of the gadget, I timed it this morning , 6 minutes. It sucks up your hair so you don’t have to do anything. Also it’s nowhere near your scalp either.
