Ha! I’m not sure exactly what fashion envy is but when I see someone rocking a short dress or skirt I feel envy envy as my chunky legs just don’t set the look off the way a slim pair do.

QueenBee52 · 28/06/2021 00:34

those beautiful Christmas dresses with glittery sequins all over that shimmer with every move...

If only I had a figure that would compliment those stunning festive dek

People who make casual clothes look fashionable and put together.

I feel like I know how to dress up, but if I'm dressed casually it just looks like a big standard jeans and t shirts even if I put some thought into it. Other people somehow make it look like cool and trendy.

A friend who is in her 60’s, used to be a model, she can put a bin bag on and look stylish, it’s just effortless for her. She just knows what suits her and how to wear it - doesn’t help that I’m short and stumpy Grin

I do think a pair of heals can go far.

Those who can go grey and look great, if I let my greys come through I look as if I've aged 20 years and given up. I would love to embrace the grey and accept myself a bit more.

Seesawmummadaw · 28/06/2021 08:44

Tall people!

Pulloverjumperorsweater · 28/06/2021 08:44

Yeah I’d love long slim legs too but @ChiefInspectorParker we can just console ourselves with the good waist and arse we pear shapes have!

Eastereggfan · 28/06/2021 08:57

Women who can wear bikini bottoms and a vest/t shirt. There is something so cool and laid back and I'd just look like a turnip.

Floisme · 28/06/2021 09:01

Nice arms.

Salanda · 28/06/2021 09:05

I love seeing people with unusual/bright/outgoing outfits - it’s not something I can pull off but love to see other people enjoying what they’re wearing and having fun. My favourite is Heart Zeena on Instagram.

5128gap · 28/06/2021 09:52

For fashion reasons, dark hair. I like being blonde generally, but dark hair goes with so much more colour wise.

lazylinguist · 28/06/2021 09:58

My fashion envy is almost only ever figure envy tbh. As in 'I wish I had the figure to wear that'. I'm working on it though...

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 28/06/2021 11:42

Women with lean toned legs that allow them to wear shorts. I think a nice pair of short shorts can look so glam.

Despite being a size 8/10 I've got super chunky and flabby thighs and bum that jiggle when I walk and spread to double their size when I sit down. I wouldn't be caught dead in shorts or a swimsuit / bikini of any sort

peaceanddove · 28/06/2021 12:21

Women who had flat tums and so could rock a simple t-shirt tucked into jeans. Thanks to 2 c-sections and a hernia there's been zero chance of me doing this since about 2004.

But, am now 6 weeks post tummy tuck and can finally tuck a simple t-shirt into my low rise Levi's and it feels epic 😊😊😊

Pulloverjumperorsweater · 28/06/2021 13:25

@WineGetsMeThroughIt

I’ve a similar figure to yours although I’m not quite as small a size as you & I get it. I’ve never had slim and toned legs.

thebattleofschrutefarms · 28/06/2021 13:32

People that can pull off red lipstick!
I feel like a child playing dress-up with it on.

Confusedandshaken · 28/06/2021 13:49

Women with nice neat perky C cup breasts. Not huge great FFs like mine. I don't know what was worse - when they stuck out like giant torpedoes or now that are saggy. Either way, they are not elegant and ruin the look of so many things from t shirts to ball gowns.

musthavebeenlove · 28/06/2021 13:51

People who wear shorts and particularly hotpants. I wish I’d dare, but I hate my legs.

AuntMasha · 28/06/2021 13:53

Women with glossy dark hair and dark brown eyes. I love that colouring and wish I wasn’t fair, pallid and pale.

adrianmolesmole · 28/06/2021 13:57

Sometimes I see women who have totally their own style and look great wearing a hat or a piece of big unusual jewellery, with a cute dress that is even "out of date" fashion-wise but somehow still looks cute and stylish, and very "HER". Some people can just throw on anything and make it look unique in the way they carry themselves and walk and stand.

I can't pull off hats or big jewellery and in my late 40s am still trying to find my own unique style. I tend to veer from drab and dowdy to out of date and frumpy, or just plain and boring. Jewellery tends to look like it's wearing me instead of the other way round!

thefirstmrsrochester · 28/06/2021 14:00

Figure envy, clothes look better on smaller frames, I’m insanely envious of those with small figures but too greedy and lazy to address my progression up the size charts.
