Should I keep these items...

I've bought a few items and can't decide. I really like the red dress.
and it looks nicer on than I thought. However, it's not forgiving on the tummy. I'm a size 6-8 but if I have any bloating this dress won't hide it.

The shoes I really liked but now they are on i'm not so sure and the beige linen dress isn't my usual style (I wear a lot of florals) so can't decide!

Thank you for all your lovely comments and opinions. I like to hear the good and bad.

For anyone asking the red dress is from Ghost and the shoes are from Ravel.
The beige is from Sosandar (not that anyone likes it haha).

If anyone has any inspiration of alternative dresses or sandals please let me know.

I love these sandals for Sezane but £185 Shock

Why not have the red dress altered to fit you as you’d prefer it to? I do this all the time, and it’s just not that expensive?

PineappleCakes · 08/06/2021 13:42

Keep the red dress, get it altered to fit nicely. Lovely shape and colour on you.

Send the shoes and beige dress back, neither are flattering on you.

LadyCatStark · 08/06/2021 13:47

Both look frumpy on your great figure (and I mean that in a nice way!) you can definitely afford to go for something more figure hugging! I’m personally not keen on the sandals but that might just be me as I’m more of a trainers kind of person!

cardoon · 08/06/2021 13:48

What size do you have in the red dress?

Lan2020 · 08/06/2021 13:55

@cardoon it's in XS

The beige one is nice, but the red one is really lovely. Definitely keep that.

KateTheEighth · 08/06/2021 14:38

The linen dress isn't great. It's not a great colour and it looks like you fell asleep in it. Wear it for more than 5 minutes and it will look awful.

yourestandingonmyneck · 08/06/2021 14:39

Ah, having read the other posts I know see what pp's are saying about the bust.

I doubt I would have noticed without them pointing it out, and I do still like it, but I probably agree that with your figure you could get something better. Or you could see about getting it altered?

PixieDust28 · 08/06/2021 14:41

I like the red dress. Don't like the beige. The shoes are something I'd see a much older lady in.

These are very ageing again.
fantasmasgoria1 · 08/06/2021 14:44

The first dress looks OK. It fits you well. My opinion only the shoes are meh and second dress is quite frumpy.

Lan2020 · 08/06/2021 14:47

Thank you all. I may look into getting the red dress altered and will find some other shoes. I like the style but think they look a little clumpy. Do these look any better?
I'll send the linen dress back.
What about these? Do these dresses look ok?

Neither dress does justice to your gorgeous figure, although the red is a lovely colour on you. Shoes are OK but a bit dull.

HappyWipings · 08/06/2021 14:58

I love the style of dresses 3 and 4 , it looks great on you. The blue is my favourite.

I won't comment on shoes as I wear cons with dresses mostlySmile

HappyWipings · 08/06/2021 14:59

Where is the blue one from op?

KatharinaRosalie · 08/06/2021 15:05

Blue one is pretty. But the main question still is, when you put it on, do you go "wow!"?

krustykittens · 08/06/2021 15:07

I love Ghost but I do find they cut big! Perhaps send the red dress back and get a XS if you are a six to an eight? Apologies if this is the size you are modelling! I think it is lovely on you, just a little big on top.

cardoon · 08/06/2021 15:10

You look lovely in 3 & 4

krustykittens · 08/06/2021 15:12

Sorry, just realised it was XS! I would get it altered, I love my Ghost dresses and they last for years. I have put a bit of weight on so have gone up a dress size and have given some of my dresses to my teen daughters. They still look new!

Seaoftroubles · 08/06/2021 15:17

Agree, you look lovely in 3&4.

Bagelsandbrie · 08/06/2021 15:21

3 and 4 are lovely.

I actually like the original red dress. I think after a wash it will hang better. And maybe if not a push up type bra might make all the difference in how it fits.

Not keen on the shoes at all.

PattyPan · 08/06/2021 15:29

I like the beige dress but the red dress and the shoes don’t fit you

PattyPan · 08/06/2021 15:31

The blue dress looks a bit like a nightie to me but the pink one is lovely. Don’t like the shoes.

Lan2020 · 08/06/2021 16:34

@HappyWipings the blue dress (and pink) are both Ghost. Believe it or not, I'm not Ghost obsessed haha. I just liked these items. I was excited about the blue one because I love the Ghost style but find the midi dresses drown me.
