Handbag lovers, indulge me!

Ok so I’ve a pretty big thing for handbags. I feel they really make an outfit, and it’s an added bonus that they always fit, even if I’ve gained weight! Anyway, I have quite an extensive collection already, ranging from Givenchy to Mulberry to LuLu Guinness, to Marc Jacob, to Coach, to Kate Spade, to Coccinelle to DKNY to various other designers to high street and to TK Maxx. I’ve coveted a Louis Vuitton neverfull for years but often felt I couldn’t justify the money (even though my Givenchy and some of my Mulberrys were dearer, but for some reason I always baulked at spending on a neverfull). Well. I baulk no more. I decided to get one recently after unexpectedly getting some money. So, off I went over the weekend, and ordered one. It wasn’t in stock in the department store so they have ordered it for me and I should have it Thursday. I was so giddy with excitement and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. However, once I got home I was browsing the LV website, purely to get a link to the bag to send my friend, and I saw another one which I loved. The Lymington. Impulsively I ordered that online. So I’m the space of two hours i’ve gone from owning no LV bag to owning two!

Both should be here on Thursday or Friday at the latest.

Ah I do love a good handbag thread! I started with Mulberry and graduated to LV and Gucci. You won't regret your purchases, I'm sure! We need pics when they arrive 😊

I’ll definitely post pics! I got both in the Damier Azur canvas. They’re different style and size bags though so will have different uses, it doesn’t bother me that both are the same pattern. My DSis would be put off by that and would have tried to talk me out of it but as I’ve often said to her- I don’t need this negativity in my life!!

It holds up well then? The sales assistant did worry me a bit about dark clothes transferring on to it etc - have you found that?

Not at all - my first was a Speedy, bought in 2015. It still looks immaculate. Obviously I didn't sling it around or put it down on dirty floors or anything. Just be sensible and look after it, and it will serve you well.

I got an LV for my 18th (I'm now 33) I've used it daily and it just hasn't aged at all! The quality is insane & so so worth it!!! I could have spent more than the LV was worth buying countless cheaper bags in that time! Please post photos!!!!!

Not a fan of damier Azul personally, but their classic canvases age so well. Like other posters I've had LV bags for over 10 years and have used them to death, they still look great.

I have two Neverfulls and use them so much, the azur wears well, The only thing I would recommend is a liner for the inside as it stops the cream interior getting marked. I love bags and bought myself a Chanel classic double flap a few years ago which I’ve wanted forever! Enjoy your new bags, mine certainly make me happy and my twin daughters will benefit as they get older from my collection

I've cleaned out my lining with a makeup wipe in the past - worked a treat!

Congrats! My Azur Neverfull came out of winter hibernation this weekend, can’t wait to use her.
I recommend a bag liner too, I got mine from handbag angels.

They are such sturdy useful bags and hold so much.... Whether you are a career woman about town or a mum needing wet wipes, etc. they come up smiling.

I don't own any LV bags, although I do have a purse - like you I baulked at the prices which is ironic since I have multiple 'lower end bags from Coach, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs etc plus a Gucci disco which probably add up to multiple Neverfulls....anyway please fo post pics when they arrive!

I’m exactly the same- I’ve often bought 2 or 3 bags together from other brands which added up to a neverfull but for some reason never felt I could justify the neverfull. And individually some of mine have cost more than it too. My own impulsivity amuses me too- having abstained from spending on a neverfull for years, once I bought one I promptly went home and spent the same and more on another bag!

I have two Neverfulls. One in the monogram print and one in the azur. They are bulletproof. I use mine like a backpack and they have seen some mileage. They last better, I believe, because of the leather trim that is missing on some of the other canvas bags. I love both of mine, congrats on the new arrivals OP!

I just got a liner from Love Lolo for my medium Lily and it's really good quality - would recommend them.
