Just that really!!!

I am completely out of leggings and need to get some more, but it’s been so long since I shopped I have no idea where to start. Black is the only the colour that works at the moment as I am constantly covered in baby snot and food stuffs! Tell me your favourite brands!

Started buying from Love Leggings thanks to recommendations on here and haven't looked back

Also have bought a couple of pairs of these from VS in a few different colours. They have pockets 😁

Both brands can be relied upon to not go see through and get plenty of wear/washes.

You can’t beat pockets on leggings. Or dresses. 😁

For everyday wearing and washing, Tu leggings from Sainsbury's are hard to beat.

thewreckofthehesperus · 30/05/2021 16:24

Tescos high waisted f&f. Hold in my tummy and v comfy. Also cottony so breathable which helps in summer.

Schooldilemma2021 · 30/05/2021 16:29

Everyday wear, Costco leggings. Amazing value for a twin pack (less than £20), nice fabric, and super comfortable. Have a nice high, thick waist band so does the waistline wonders under tops. I live in them daily and they still feel and look like they day I took them out of the packet. Much better quality than those found in supermarket or high street fashion shops.

Why not black jeans instead? Understand the choice of colour for the reasons you give.

I’m short so finding jeans that fit in the leg is a ‘mare. I can just turn leggings under!

By far the Mint Velvet plain leggings.

High waisted and really nice and thick.

£19 each (although very regularly in the same) but they last really well and don't turn see through.

VioletCharlotte · 30/05/2021 16:59

Tu at Sainsbury's 'luxury' leggings are the best I've found. Love Leggings are good quality but they're a bit thick for warmer weather.

notapizzaeater · 30/05/2021 17:01

Another vote for the 'posh' Sainsbury's leggings

mintich · 30/05/2021 17:07

Another vote for Mint Velvet!

starfishmummy · 30/05/2021 17:07

Sainsburys.

DaydreamerBetty · 30/05/2021 17:39

Sainsbury’s legging are great quality and value.

MasterOfOne · 30/05/2021 17:46

ASOS DESIGN leggings. They're about £12 and they're so so soft! Lots of styles too!

DameLucy · 30/05/2021 23:09

Don’t get M&S. worst ever. No give in them, see through and both pairs I have there’s one leg longer than the other! Tesco and Sainsbury’s are far superior

hcaePyzziF · 31/05/2021 07:42

Seams that Sainsbury’s are a clear favourite. I will give them and the Mint Velvet ones a whirl.

I checked out your links and have fallen in love with the buttercup ones, but will need to keep them for child-free days!

Thank you lovely ladies of mumsnet for sharing your legging tips. I always get myself in such a pickle over where to buy the basics so you’ve saved me hours of decision making!

They may be made for the gym and they are not cheap. But for me, nothing fits like Sweaty Betty.

Iheartmysmart · 31/05/2021 08:05

Another vote for the Sweaty Betty leggings. I’m not quite 5ft tall and the 7/8 length fit me perfectly. Expensive but they aren’t see through and don’t go baggy. Plus you can hand wash them last thing at night and they are dry the next morning.

I’ve got a really old pair of the sainsburys leggings which are nice but the newer ones seem to be different fabric and are nowhere near as good.

WhatsGoingOnHereThen · 31/05/2021 08:10

Mint Velvet are my staple. I must have 10 different pairs how Blush

I tried the Sainsbury's posher ones but didn't love them. Even at my slimmest they cut me off mid-tummy giving me muffin top. The mint velvet ones have a big waistband and slim over everything.

M&S stretchy trousers (treggings?) are my other go-to. They do a cord pair in various colours that is fab.

helpmechoosewheretolive · 31/05/2021 08:21

Are the mint velvet true to size?

EdgeOfFortyNine · 31/05/2021 08:28

Another vote for Mint Velvet, and they have 20% off everything at the moment.
