Your favourite black leggings

Just that really!!!

I am completely out of leggings and need to get some more, but it’s been so long since I shopped I have no idea where to start. Black is the only the colour that works at the moment as I am constantly covered in baby snot and food stuffs! Tell me your favourite brands!

The MV ones I think are S, M, L and from memory they are quite flexible:

When size 10 I wore small or medium
When size 12 I wore medium or large
When size 14 I wore large or medium

I like quite a comfortable fit though, not to be squeezed in.

Btw I'm using past tense as currently have a big bump!

scaredsadandstuck · 31/05/2021 09:02

Agree about MV ones. They come in a shorter leg length as well @hcaePyzziF

hcaePyzziF · 31/05/2021 09:16

Just checked out the Mint Velvet site. I never knew I needed faux leather and leopard print leggings until now! 😍

This thread may cost me a bit of money! Grin

Anyone know if the m&s magic shaping leggings are any good? I've had the standard high waisted from them and loved the cut but the fabric was poor.

DinosaurDiana · 31/05/2021 10:05

I like the next thick ones, Ponte leggings. They stop your wobbly bits wobbling !

WhyDoIFeelAwful · 31/05/2021 11:35

I didn't like Love Leggings. Thought they were awful. Morrisons or Sainsbury's luxury, if you can get hold of them.

FrameyMcFrame · 31/05/2021 11:39

Primark
Last longer than many and have good length options

Ineverpromisedyouarosegarden · 31/05/2021 11:40

Mint velvet for long lasting wash and wear.

Ineverpromisedyouarosegarden · 15/09/2021 08:31

Another vote for Mint Velvet, although Dd who is much younger only wears Gym shark but they are £40 at least a pair

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/09/2021 10:12

Faux leather - Mint Velvet.
Sports fabric - Sweaty Betty.
Matte black - Spanx. (Though mine are so tight they gave me nerve pains in my leg, I might need to buy a size up next time!)

Off topic but you realise that if you generally find jeans too long, you can take them to any dry cleaners and they will shorten them for you? I find this an odd reason to avoid jeans in general. Surely you don't expect all clothes to fit you perfectly off the rack.

I wish this was true but unfortunately my local dry cleaners (the only one for many miles) don't offer this service. It's a nice idea though - I suppose I'd need to look for a seamstress (is that the term)?
idontlikealdi · 16/09/2021 09:21

Fabletics powerhold or Motion 360. The comfiest leggings ever. I have some for the gym and several pairs that aren't 'sports' fabric too.

Sign up for the 2 for £24 though, then cancel and then sign up again with a different email to get the offer again

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/09/2021 18:52

@NotImpossible wow I really thought it was standard at dry cleaners - sorry! I would have thought a seamstress would be more for making clothes, maybe search tailor or alterations?

It probably is in many areas - I'm a bit middle-of-nowhere-ish! Grin

Tesco have some lovely ones at the moment not see through and only £6. I got 4 as Im living in them at the moment running round after my toddler and also pregnant so the high waist is really comfortable.

Bluntness100 · 16/09/2021 21:30

Maidenform fat free, I swear to god you look a size smaller and smooths all lumps and bumps,

Primark cosy leggings. So soft, not see through and, praise be to the primark gods, they come in long length.

damekindness · 16/09/2021 22:37

Uniqlo heat tech leggings - soft, warm and last for ages

adrianmolesmole · 17/09/2021 01:28

Love Leggings. I love the high waisted Petite. Perfect and they hold my tummy in well.
