M&S Summer Beauty Bag 2021

I didn't realise this was out today until I was in M&S earlier. I picked one up but haven't really had a chance to look at it yet. Anybody else got one? What do you think?

(Apologies if there's already a thread, I did look but couldn't find it!)

Yes, I applied a little to the ends of wet hair. It smells lovely and gives a nice smooth finish. I used maybe about the size of a pea.

JourneyToHappiness · 30/05/2021 20:18

Thank you 🙂 will try it tomorrow.

TokyoSushi · 30/05/2021 21:52

@JourneyToHappiness yes just a little bit of the Aveda, it's absolutely lovely, I looked it up thinking I'd like some more when this runs out, it's £28 per tube!!

I've ordered it but preferred last year's.

ElderMillennial · 31/05/2021 16:24

I think this year's is the best one they've had for a while, at least the best I've seen, but it depends what interests you.

I would use most of what is in this one and I like the full size products that are included.

I would probably use a bit more of the Aveda but I have long curly hair so it needs a good amount of product.

TokyoSushi · 31/05/2021 16:27

It's still making me very happy 4 days on! If I love the beauty bag so much, I can't wait for the advent calendar! #EasilyPleased

There wasn't an M&S advent calendar last year so I wonder whether there will be one this year.

HeadNorth · 31/05/2021 16:51

I like the perfume stick, not too sweet. I also like the nail varnish colour for summer tootsies and will definately use the REN and Aveda products. The shower oil is a nice size to take on holiday (in the UK this year, but I'll still be showering!).

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/06/2021 11:10

I don't usually buy stuff like this, as I try to avoid too much plastic, but got it for the Aveda thing. Love the perfume duo. Really like the root lift stuff and the eye cream too. The Ren sleep cream feels really lovely. Not sure about the primer and hate the smell of the face mask. The lip gloss feels like a total waste of time.

123ZYX · 01/06/2021 12:54

I've just had mine delivered and I'm excited to try everything. I don't normally wear anything scented but I'm trying out the pink pepper roll on fragrance and it's just right in terms of strength of scent for me.

Is there a trick to opening the nail polish? The only way I can do it is the pull the square white lid off, then twist the black lid underneath, but that seems a strange way of doing it. I love the colour, though.

ElderMillennial · 01/06/2021 13:30

Mine arrived today.

I thought that was how you had to open nails inc polishes @123ZYX

Looks like a nice colour. I might try it on my toes if I can bend down to remove whats on there now and re-paint

I quite like the perfume. I wouldn't buy it but I will use it.

I don't really use clear lip gloss but love how clear it looks!

Still most happy about the aveda and origins products

Thanks! I've not used that brand of nail polish before, so thought I must be missing something!
RampantIvy · 01/06/2021 15:06

I have just received mine, along with my denim jacket, which is perfect.

What am I supposed to do with the Nuxe oil?

ElderMillennial · 01/06/2021 15:41

I've used the nuxe oil on my hair but it's a product I've received in various boxes and I'm not excited about it. I think you can use it on your skin too.

EmotionallyEncumbered · 01/06/2021 18:18

I tried to add one to my basket, I'd ordered £50 worth of clothing but the beauty bag didn't discount. I'm presuming it's because one of the item's in my basket was on sale, but I can't find any info saying the offer isn't valid with sale products. Does anybody know?

RampantIvy · 01/06/2021 18:26

It does when you go on to the next page to pay.

Lightswitchesoffatnight · 02/06/2021 00:03

I just got it for £20. I wouldn’t pay the full price for it, even £20 is pushing it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/06/2021 08:26

The Aveda stuff alone is £28, so it's definitely worth £20 if you'll use that.

ElderMillennial · 02/06/2021 08:37

I don't think anyone pays the "full" price for it and it's almost a notional price as it has to have a base price before the discount is applied.

I think it was well worth it this time because I like the aveda and as PP said that's worth about £28 plus the full size eye cream is worth about £20 but I haven't bought it in previous years when it hasn't appealed to me as much.

RampantIvy · 02/06/2021 09:19

I love the nail polish. It's perfect for summer.

MrsMaizel · 02/06/2021 09:34

The WOW root lift product is great !

Betsy88 · 02/06/2021 09:58

Which denim jacket did you get @RampantIvy?

RampantIvy · 02/06/2021 10:20

this one

Betsy88 · 02/06/2021 10:52

@RampantIvy

Nice! I’ve got my eye on this oversized one.

I got mine yesterday - a great way to try new products that I wouldn’t usually look at twice.
However... that Luxe gold shimmery thing - can anyone tell me what that actually is? Grown up body glitter...?
