Jeans - different colours

I might be looking for the impossible here.

I have worn quite a large hole in a lovely comfortable pair of jeans that I bought about 2 years ago in M&S. The thing is these weren't your standard blue/light-blue/black colour jeans. These were royal blue. I have a similar pair in burgundy red. They are also well loved and well worn. I feel I will have to replace them too soon enough.

I want to find replacements. I have seen jeggings in similar colours but they don't have pockets at the front and I'm looking for pockets too.

I'm a size UK18 and I'm 5'2".

Can you help me find what I'm looking for please?

Have you tried M&S to see if they still sell them?

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 26/05/2021 11:46

I would say that given the time of year it will likely be harder to find bold coloured jeans like that now. Summer always tends to bring out more pastels and neutrals. I remember seeing ones like you've mentioned at M&S, but that was in the winter.

justawoman · 26/05/2021 11:48

Lands End seems to have some in

They do the make of jeans but just not in the colours that aren't the standard denim blue/black colour scheme. These were lovely.

@WineGetsMeThroughIt - you're probably right about it being the wrong time of the year for these colours but they do have the colours in jeggings (with the fake pockets at the front). Can I say it that I absolutely f*cking hate fake pockets on clothes...they are absolutely pointless!!!!!!!!

Stradivarius has a whole range of coloured jeans:

This was my first point of call as well because I know they do have red ones. I actually went and looked but didn't see they went up to an 18. Do they??

ILoveShula · 26/05/2021 12:03

@LookItsMeAgain, we think alike.

Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t check on the sizing. Yes, it looks like they only go up to a 16.

goose1964 · 26/05/2021 16:25

I bought some royal blue jeggings from Tesco a few weeks ago. Couldn't you dye some light blue ones?

Laurie01 · 26/05/2021 16:48

Next have some lift, slim and shape jeans in various blues ref 259-386

BammBamm · 26/05/2021 18:00

Be warned Stradivarius is terrible quality.

Oh? I got a couple pairs recently and there the best fitting jeans I've tried. And I was practically running my own shipping company with the amount of packages of jeans I was having delivered and returning. Think I tried on a total of 16 different styles (not to mention multiple sizes). I kept the tighter pairs with the hope they stretch out, but no luck so far. I've worn them around the house for the whole day sitting down for much of it and they still fit the same.

All of those are shades on the theme of denim blue. I'm talking about more like cobalt blue and ruby red as colours, but thank you.

My mum bought some and they actually look lovely irl. Although she is 5'4 so they sit on her ankles not that cropped length and look better for it.

LookItsMeAgain · 27/05/2021 08:37
That's definitely more the colour that I'm looking for than previous suggestions. I might order those from Phase Eight. Thanks @PoTheDog Smile

Are they the M&S superskinnies from a couple of years ago? I think I saw some in an M&S outlet store a few weeks back ( I recognised them because I have a pair!). If you have one near you might be worth a look / ringing up to ask.

LookItsMeAgain · 27/05/2021 14:18

They were from the Roma range in M&S.
If they ever come out in different colours again, I'll be buying multiple pairs Grin

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/05/2021 17:48

Are they these ones on ebay?

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/05/2021 17:50

or these?

i have no affiliation, just trying to help.

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/05/2021 17:50

they look nice in blue

CheerfulBunny · 27/05/2021 17:55

I bought some teal jeggings for playing golf in (they match my outfit) from Pep & Co ages ago and they had loads of different colours including red and blue. They are super cheap but come up small. I can't remember what sizes they do though.

ItWasLikeThatWhenIGotHere · 27/05/2021 17:58

If I were you I’d consider getting some white ones and Dyloning them to the colour of my choice. Jeans take dye really well.

MerryChristmasToYou · 27/05/2021 18:24

The stitching doesn't dye normally. because the thread is polyester not cotton.
