Wedding guest outfit- too formal now?

My cousin was due to get married last June. Grand country house job probably with ice sculptures

The wedding will now take place next June in a very nice country pub with marquee. Hurray!

The outfit I bought for the original wedding now feels like it would be out of place. I'm unlikely to go to another wedding any time soon. I love the outfit (it's my colour and very flattering), but I just need to bite the bullet and flog it, don't I?

TLDR: is this too formal for a country pub wedding?

LOVE it. Please do wear it! You might consider flowers in your hair instead of structured headgear to bring the formality down a notch?

Still wear it. I got married last year. Was supposed to be a very informal registry office wedding but had to transfer to a church (lovely vicar that christened DC took pity on us when the registry office wouldn't let us give notice) I still ended up wearing what I would consider a very informal wedding dress in a formal setting. I think in covid times anything goes OP.

Might I suggest you get tickets for Royal Ascot when we are allowed (2022) and you will then get a second outing for it! Add a hat and you get another day out.

It's lovely wear it! I'm all for dressing up now, life's too short. I wore a glittery sequin top out on Friday evening, even though we were only going out for a curry.

God, that's so lovely. I'd be tempted to put it on to go to Sainsbury's just to have the pleasure of wearing it.
