Which dress, or both?

I have brought both of these, I am 5ft 2 and the Whistles is a better length. The Somerset is slightly too long so I will need to shorten it which I can do.
Shall I keep both? I don’t go out a lot so would get worn mostly on a dress down Friday at work.

@ApplyWithin
Here is the Whistles one. My photo taking skills are terrible, this is on the timer resting on the drawers whilst I try standing in a natural pose to send to my daughter for her opinion! I normally know if it’s not good when I don’t get a response :)
Looking back at the photo I am pleased I have returned it.
I can take a photo later of the Temperley dress

Hmm, yes, it’s a bit boring isn’t it?

Is that your dog behind you? Grin

Elsabet · 14/05/2021 20:02

@ApplyWithin yes, maybe I need to be taller with no boobs but just looks a bit mumsy on me.
Yep that will be dog drying her face on the fleece to protect my bed! Just spotted the black leg of the other dog too!
Here is the Temperley, hope no one says it looks awful as I will be shortening it this weekend.

temperley one looks much better on you :)
what length is it on you?

Bimblybomeyelash · 14/05/2021 20:15

Right choice!

Elsabet · 14/05/2021 20:16

@happyjack12 thank you 😊 I need to take about 3 inches off so it sits at the lower part of my calf where it starts to slim down.

Prefer the 2nd too.

LuckyMcDucky · 14/05/2021 20:27

Definitely prefer the Temperley one on you op! I think it's great. Definitely the right choice.

carrierbags · 14/05/2021 20:40

Temperly, defo. Which I'm
now needing to go and bloody buy!!! It's lovely

bunglebee · 14/05/2021 20:45

I preferred the Temperley anyway before I saw your photos as it was more playful and had more impact, and now I've seen your photos 1000% Temperley. The Whistles dress does nothing for you.

Standrewsschool · 14/05/2021 20:46

Definitely Temperley. Looks lovely on you.

Elsabet · 14/05/2021 20:59

Thank you all, now just got to take the scissors to it 😂

The Temperly one looks lovely. The Whistles one is too much like British weather for me - a bit gloomy and meh, sorry.

You look fab in the Temperley dress, it really suits you.

AnnaSW1 · 14/05/2021 21:45

@Elsabet the second one looks lovely on you. I love the print. I'm tempted to get it myself.

MotherOfGodWeeFella · 14/05/2021 23:52

The top of the Temperley dress is much more flattering on you than the other one.

bonfireheart · 15/05/2021 00:14

You look great in the second dress OP.

Greenshed · 20/05/2021 18:37

The temperley dress suits you better in my opinion. It hangs better and looks brighter.

TableDesk · 20/05/2021 20:43

Most def keep the Temperely one! The whistles one look like a run of the mill H&m calf length dress which retails for 24.99 ish

TableDesk · 20/05/2021 20:49

H&m 'version'

Which dress, or both?
Elsabet · 20/05/2021 22:03

@Greenshed @TableDesk I kept the Temperley in the end and took a pair of scissors to it on Sunday! It’s now been shortened and ready to wear :)

Love the first one, but not so keen on the second.
