After years of agonising over this I'm going to do it!!!

Have contacted a surgeon recommended on here and his pictures are fabulous. What do you think?

I need to go for consultation now!

Anyone had one?
Would you have one?
What about lipo (which he seems to do with it)?

Do you mind me asking how much it's going to be costing? I, very tempted to go ahead myself and trying to work out how long I need to be saving for before I book a consultation,

Miasicarisatia · 06/05/2021 18:10

blimey, amazing photos!

MozzchopsThirty · 06/05/2021 18:46

@Vinto approx £6500-£7k but I won't know exactly until I go for the consult

I like that he snatches the waist in but I'm not keen on the idea of lipo

I'd say I'm more like the 3rd pic
All my fat is lower abdomen and overhang from c section

I had a mini tummy tuck about 12 years ago and a small bit of lipo to smooth everything out .
They reopened the c-section scar and made it about an inch longer on each side .
Cons Hurts like a bitch for the first week
Can’t stand up straight
Dread sneezing coughing and laughing
But I have a lovely flat hard stomach 😂
I paid £4500 private through Bupa

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 06/05/2021 21:10

I would love one. I have lost 90lbs and have had 2 kids - one if which was a c-sec. I cannot stand my flabby pooch of a tummy and I obsess over it to the point I cry fairly regularly at the fact I've worked so hard to lose the weight and I'm still left looking awful. I will never wear a swimsuit again unless I have a tummy tuck. I am a size 10 but I know with all the excess akin removed I'd be an 8.

My husband promised me after I had kids that I could have one (actually a mummy makeover - I hate that term btw!) but I don't think either of us realised how high the costs would be.

I went for a consult with a very reputable surgeon who had done work on several of my friends. I was told for best results I would need a 360 tummy tuck and breast lift with implants to add back the fullness. He gave me options for a normal tummy tuck + breasts, a 180 tummy tuck + breasts and the recommended 360 tummy tuck + breasts. The 360 + breasts which is my preferred option came up to £17,650 😔

There's no way that we can afford that. I've invested the small amount of savings I have into crypto currency with the hopes that I can make a good chunk of cash over the next couple years and hopefully finance the remainder.

I love seeing everyone's results and would literally kill to have this procedure. Not a day goes by that I don't look at myself and hate what I see and wish that I could have one.

If you can afford it OP then you should definitely do it. Share pics on here so I can live vicariously through you!

Wine, what if you didn’t do the boobs? After all, you can always wear a decent bra!

I think the full 360 was still about £11k ish

We're not poor. But I genuinely don't know how so many 'average' people can afford these surgeries. And when I say average i not trying to sound mean or negative. I just mean normal mums who work part time and have kids type people. Not high income earners.

@WineGetsMeThroughIt
A lot of people go abroad
I know several friends who have had TT in Belgium Turkey Poland and paid under £3000

All with reputable clinics
I’ve had both surgery abroad and in the uk not difference apart from the price 😂😂

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/05/2021 22:00

Gosh, that’s a lot of money! I couldn’t afford anywhere near that. A tummy tuck is something that I’ve started to seriously consider - my tummy looks relatively normal down to my tummy button and then bulges out like crazy underneath. Bloody C sections. I’ve got quite a lot of weight to lose but if I manage that and it’s not looking much better I’m going to start researching properly.

In theory I think it sounds great. But I'm quite anxious person and with a young family and no immediate family to help out i just don't think I could go abroad. I'd also be so paranoid if any complications. But I agree I've seen people get great work done abroad. Just not one for me

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 06/05/2021 22:14

And also I can't imagine getting on a flight in such severe pain. The surgery I want and need is very extensive with a 360 scar. I can't imagine sitting on a plane home with that. It took me a week before I was able to lay down in my own bed after a csection so I have no idea how I'd cope with the TT at home let along abroad lol

Jackielaffertyiscold · 06/05/2021 22:15

I’m booked in to have one in September this year!

MozzchopsThirty · 07/05/2021 13:29

@WineGetsMeThroughIt wow that's a serious amount of money!!!!

What's a 360 TT?

MozzchopsThirty · 07/05/2021 13:30

@Jackielaffertyiscold where are you having yours done?
How did you choose the surgeon?

Will you come back and post pics???

These pics show my overhang, I am bothered by it every day

hilbil21 · 07/05/2021 13:37

I had one in October. The sorest part is definitely the muscle repair which most people need. I paid £7290 Smile

hilbil21 · 07/05/2021 13:37

Here's my before and after

SoMuchForSummerLove · 07/05/2021 13:40

That's brilliant!

I'm planning this for October I think. Fee is just under £6k with a bit of lipo around my waist.

Wallywobbles · 07/05/2021 13:44

@hilbil21 will the scar fade more over time. How long after are the pictures? The result is amazing.

hilbil21 · 07/05/2021 13:46

@Wallywobbles The photo is from about 2 months ago. There's things you can put on to make the scar fade more but it's not something that bothers me so I haven't done it as religiously as some others. It's going a bit whiter now in some parts though to be fair.

MozzchopsThirty · 07/05/2021 13:59

Wow that's amazing!!!!!! I'm so envious

Would you do it again? How was your recovery?
