Biker boots - help

Looking for boots like these but in leather. £50 for non leather boots is a bit pricey imo, plus reviews not great, but would happily pay more for really leather and quality and more importantly comfort as it's mostly for work and im on my feet all day.

How about Clarks Orinoco Spice? Might be a bit plain but I've got the Chelsea boot version and they do last.

NoSiree · 27/04/2021 23:06

I've got some also from Clark's. They are called Witcombe or something like that.

I got them for £50ish in a sale.

midnightstar66 · 28/04/2021 07:03

I actually forgot about Clark's - thanks. Those Orinoco spice I don't like because of the ankle cuff makes it look a bit like a hiking boot which I already have, but I've a feeling I've seen a different style of them too so will research that and the other Clark's suggestion too.

I'm no use what so ever but if anyone has recommendations per chance for the same style in a ladies size 10 (but mot wide leg/ankle) that would be amazing. I have flippers but don't need width on the leg!

Hendalle · 28/04/2021 07:34

Moshulu

They’re a little on the pricey side (for me anyway) but are very comfortable and are lasting well! I’m hard on my footwear Grin

ElspethFlashman · 28/04/2021 08:17

I may be no help but I just bought a studded pair just like that from ASOS from Simply Be.

I bought the last pair (sorry!) because they were half price and only my size were left - but they were £49 new and are leather. And I notice that Simply Be do tend to have leather at the

These are them, they're called Tanya.

@Hendalle I do like those and for £99 I don't mind the price if they are super comfy as a good pair of boots is an investment. Are they on your feel all day sort of comfy?

midnightstar66 · 29/04/2021 06:57

@Nobranothanks I've been keeping my eye out on my search and nowhere seems to go above a size 9, clerks even lower which as a dedicated show shop you'd think would have a better range. I'm annoyed on your behalf. Surely a size 10 is not that unusual?

OP posts:
Nobranothanks · 29/04/2021 07:49

@midnightstar66 you'd think wouldn't you but apparently it is. The other common thing is that shops seem to Think that if u have size 10 feet you must be larger and need widen or x wide legs.

Or my other pet hate is saying a size 10 is a 42.5 or 43! Many times I've been caught out with that one lol. I live in mens mizuno wave runner trainers 😂, or mens sketchers flip flops!

minniemomo · 29/04/2021 07:52

Try search for lace up ankle boots rather than biker boots - biker style boots have a zip rather than laces typically. I have real biker boots from the motorbike shop £89 but no laces

BikeRunSki · 29/04/2021 08:12

@Nobranothanks, I feel your pain! I’m a “proper” 43/9, and even that is hard enough to get. I also mostly wear men’s shoes.

BikeRunSki · 29/04/2021 08:16

OP, I wear these all day, comfortably and have fine fit about 25 years. I’m on my 4th pair, they last years, and easily justify the price. They seem to go with anything too.

I size down on length. The half sizes just mean “wide”. So, if you’re normally a wide 8, you’d get 7.5 Blundstones.

BikeRunSki · 29/04/2021 08:17

Blundstones link for my previous post.

Hendalle · 29/04/2021 08:28

Yes they are great. I have “problem” feet and have no issue walking around in these all day, I didn’t even need to break them in they were comfy right out of the box

NoSiree · 29/04/2021 08:34

Oh I am lusting after some Blundstones!! Can't justify it though (boo). Will wait for my birthday I guess Hmm

Schuh have these www.schuh.co.uk/womens/red-or-dead-reem-suede-lace-up-black-boots/1439077050/ they're more what I'd call biker boots

albird · 29/04/2021 14:54

I have some lovely ones from the White Company - they are in the sale at the mo at £87 - really comfortable and I struggle to get comfy shoes.

You can't go far wrong with a pair of Docs. Yes, they take some wearing in but then you will live in them.

I have the zip side Chelsea boots and they are my only pair of winter shoes.

These are similar to the ones in your photo but a little chunkier 😍

midnightstar66 · 01/05/2021 07:17

@waitingforsun I've actually been eyeing up a pair of docs - these fully black ones caught my eye, however DD's both live in docs, have them for school too so I was a little unsure of looking like we have a full family uniform 😆. Do you know what the sizing is like? I can be a 3, 3.5 or 4 depending where from

I also have had my eye on these Sorel boots but the eyelets putting me off as I think it makes them look more like a hiking boot too. Might be improved by fully black laces? Anyone seen these in real life or know how warm/comfy they are, and what sizing is like?
