heavy eyelids

comehomemax · 18/04/2021 20:52

Ive just seen some pics of myself from today and my eyelids, which I always knew where heavy, look awful. One side is particularly droopy but both make me look very tired.
Is there anything I can do? I'd prefer non surgical but would bite the bullet if that was the only option.

Has anyone managed to improve their eye appearance through product alone?

Only with make up. Sorry I think the only solution is surgery. Mine are awful. Im too much of a wimp for surgery.

I'm trying to build up the courage to try botox for my hooded eyes. In the meantime I use this woman's make up technique. I find it really works.

@StCharlotte nothing comes up with the link, could you re post it if possible please?

bedtimeshoes · 18/04/2021 23:27

I use eyelid tapes - google them. They are surprisingly effective!

FrozenVag · 18/04/2021 23:28

Cut out carbs

Seriously

Anotheruser02 · 19/04/2021 00:03

I've been looking into temple and brow bone filler, we have fat pads in both of those places and the subtle loss of volume can allow the lids to hood more. It is more expensive than botox but it lasts longer and doesn't freeze your look.

Anotheruser02 · 19/04/2021 00:03

I'll try the carb thing too.

CimCardashian · 19/04/2021 00:41

@bedtimeshoes I tried the tape years ago. They have a great result but were far too obvious to wear. How do you camouflage them or are yours similar to your skin tone?

MrsMaizel · 19/04/2021 00:45

Botox on your brow can open up your eyes and make them less hooded.

cathyandclare · 19/04/2021 11:46

Is it a ptosis or hooded eyes do you think?

Humphriescushion · 19/04/2021 11:51

I have just had one session of plexr., which is a laser treatment. It has not great reviews on here i believe so do lots of research if you are interested. I am very happy with the result so far but have to have more sessions ( which was made clear from the start). Saw a big improvement straight away.

mooonstone · 19/04/2021 11:53

Not product but I just massage my eyelids, apparently it drains the lymph nodes or similar (read about it ages ago!). It restores my eyelids back to normal

I think slightly heavy eyelids are normal if you suffer from allergies (eg hay fever) or have dry eyes etc.

StCharlotte · 19/04/2021 13:17

Sorry!

Fliebel · 19/04/2021 13:57

Botox, Ultherapy, and buying myself a Nuface definitely helped- all non surgical, but a bit spendy unfortunately.

I've yet to find an eye cream that really makes a difference for droopy eyelids sadly, although clever makeup can make things look a lot better.

Spodge · 19/04/2021 14:30

Nuface has helped. It is a very slow process, though. I am talking at least a year.

DreadingItBadly · 19/04/2021 14:37

I second Nuface

Youdontknowwhatyoureonabout · 19/04/2021 15:14

I was scared to google nutface. As predicted, a request from pornhub to send them your photos came up Shock

Um, you spelled the name of the product incorrectly.

I don't do the whole thing. If I'm in a hurry I just do the crease shadow and the soft "dot" in the middle of the eyelid. Even just that makes a difference.
Campervan69 · 19/04/2021 20:29

I got the foreo bear a couple of weeks ago and that has made a difference with my eyes. They are definitely much less droopy and more even as well.

Delatron · 19/04/2021 22:25

Snorting at nutface!

With the Nuface are people getting results from using it on the forehead to lift the brow or are you actually using it on upper eyes? Are you using the big balls 🤣 or the smaller attachment?
