Where do you buy summer dresses?

I want to buy some nice summery dresses but everywhere I used to shop are no longer my style due to age. I used to like Dorothy Perkins, New Look etc, yet when I look to Monsoon and similar I find those dresses would not suit me either.

Looking for inspiration, thanks in advance

Is it that you're looking for a neat knee length type dress and pretty well everything is long and flowery now?
Sorry but it's so not true about sewing your own. I have never seen so much choice of patterns and enthusiasm for sewing. There are masses of independent pattern designers and boutique suppliers and tutorials and courses.

Good example here, if you want to take matters into your own hands.
The patterns aren't cheap but of course you can re use them. And we wouldn't be falling into the trap of saying it would be cheaper to buy a badly fitting polyester sweatshop dress from Primark....

depends what you like. Got a recent Shein one from a local boutique.

otherwise if daytime casual summer, Gap or Primark or anywhere which has nice prints - depending on heat etc.

There's a nice online boutique called No Angel (FB) which sells lovely Italian I think dresses but I've similar in another local boutique which also sells Italian dresses.

Emily and Finn do nice summer dresses also Cath Kidston - but you have to like that style. Try ebay for those.

Also got lovely older Jigsaw dresses again on Ebay - nice navy and ecru vertical striped silk one which looks sort of smart nautical.
