To think M&S are finally on the right path?

M&S online are now stocking special collections by:

  • Sosandar
  • Ghost
  • Jaeger
  • Hobbs
  • Phase 8
  • Nobody's Child

They seem to be adding new brands reasonably frequently that all actually fit with a good target market for them.

I'm suddenly seeing loads of things on their website I actually really like!

Oh that's good to know @RockaLock . Hopefully they will stay true to Jaeger's cut and material choice.

Does anyone know how the Jaeger sizing runs? What does S,M,L, XL mean in dress sizes. I couldn't find any info on the M&S website.

RosesAndHellebores · 19/04/2021 21:38

Jaeger was always cut very generously and was if one was an M&S 14, a Jaeger 12 would be fine. That held true until about 2014 which was the last time a bought a couple of dresses. I don't know if this will have changed.

I'd think S 6/8; M 10/12; L 14/16; XL 18/20?

SOLINVICTUS · 20/04/2021 06:16

I'd agree with that about Jaeger sizing.

RosesAndHellebores · 20/04/2021 08:13

I really am tempted now to order a couple of Jaeger pieces. If this initiative works it will be heaven. They are at the right price point of the quality is undiluted and have always been great for long lasting wardrobe staples that merit the cost of alteration if necessary. Now there's a thought - an in store alteration service!

I notice they have also partnered with Triumph bras and must compare the pricing with elsewhere. I wonder if, now they are stocking bras which are double the price of elsewhere they will sort out their measuring service. Fortunately I happened upon a £16 option about 6/7 years ago and it fits perfectly. Just waiting for it to be discontinued because to maintain the price the new stock in does look slightly poorer quality.

Rockalock. I am wondering also if the Jaeger quality will be as good. It will be interesting to hear from anyone who has bought something.

Iamthewombat · 20/04/2021 14:44
It is almost identical to a Me&Em dress that has sold out in several sizes. And a third of the price.
RosesAndHellebores · 20/04/2021 19:04

I've just ordered a jaeger top. Will let you all know what it's like. Also ordered an M&S one and a Seasalt one. For Co.parative research purposes you understand :)

Ianrankinfan · 20/04/2021 20:16

Roses. Yes please let us know .Smile

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 20/04/2021 22:42

@roses let us know what the Jaeger top is like. I've got my eye on one of the dresses but it's a little bit pricey so I'd want the fabric and quality to be good!

Oly4 · 21/04/2021 22:20

Everything I’ve ever owned from Jeagar has been beautiful quality. So pleased to see them at M&S

Can't say I've ever heard of any of those brands, but may pop on too take a look. Is m&s copying Next by taking on brands?
