Has anyone else had problems with DP returns? The site won't accept my return request as it's over 14 days since I placed the order except that it took 12 days to arrive! The contact number has a recorded message saying they aren't taking calls and emails are being ignored. The customer contact form is useless as you can't even enter in your contact details. I'm now stuck with a load of stuff I don't want Angry.

Arseholes
It's 14 days from receipt of items to let them know you want to return them.

Louloulemony · 13/04/2021 14:43

That's what it says in the small print but it's useless as the system only counts the order from date of purchase. The website makes it deliberately difficult to contact them.

It even says on their returns page that you can start a return within 14 days of receipt of the items

Louloulemony · 13/04/2021 14:56

I'm never going to see the money back now. Stupid of me to order now they're part of Boohoo.

Go on twitter. I've had issues with them in the past and the only way to get through to someone is on twitter

dementedpixie · 13/04/2021 14:59

Dud you try all the returns links on the site?

Tiktokersmiracle · 13/04/2021 15:01

How did you pay?
I would contact my bank and explain, see if they can order a chargeback.

dementedpixie · 13/04/2021 15:02

So when you put in your details does it tell you that 14 days have passed?
Can't believe they have taken down all phone lines, shocking

pastabest · 13/04/2021 15:21

I buy DP stuff through Next who are really good on delivery and returns
Louloulemony · 13/04/2021 15:57

Yes I just get an automated message saying return is not possible due to being more than 14 days since purchase. Except that it took 12 days to arrive! I have forwarded the Hermes confirmation of the delivery date but no response.

(And I'm not on Twitter unfortunately.)

I have had terrible issues with DP returns albeit not the same as you. I had to be very persistent (it took me about 3 months to get a refund on some items) and I ended up having to raise a claim via PayPal.
Keep trying and keep copies of every bit of correspondence.
As an aside, I do seem to recall that their website worked better on certain browsers and 'allowed' me to see/click on links that other browsers didn't so that may be worth trying too.

Good luck.

I’m in a similar situation, I ordered two pair of jeggings from them, after about a month huge hole in one pair at top of thigh and the other pair showing signs of going the same way.. I want to return them as they are not fit for purpose I would expect them to last longer than I month. As you say I can’t get through via telephone as lines are down. I’ve filled out the contact form twice on the website and no response! Very frustrating.

Josie1968 · 14/04/2021 09:38

And because I’ve had them over a month I cannot start the online return process. Not good when the jeggings are faulty.

Louloulemony · 17/04/2021 09:00

Demented you are amazing! I will try that and copy in MSE too. So shit that they're pulling this stunt and it's affecting loads of people.

I’m in a similar boat. My returns label “failed to generate” so it says I have to contact customer service. Which I’ve done twice. I’ve just had a standard reply (after almost a week!) which doesn’t deal with my issue at all, and I’ll be coming up to the 14 day return expiry soon.

So I’ve emailed them back and stated this, but I’m not sure what I can do next!!! I’m very annoyed though.

Louloulemony · 19/04/2021 16:49

The returns label has generated this time so I have sent everything back. Just need to see now whether the refund ever actually arrives in my account!

I was going to order, but won't bother now.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 19/04/2021 16:54

I got a item with a security tag on from my online dp order. I've emailed them and messaged on Facebook, I'm guessing not to expect a reply 😫

TankFlyBoss · 19/04/2021 17:05

If you paid via PayPal you can claim a chargeback through PayPal. It's really easy and this is what I have done

TankFlyBoss · 19/04/2021 17:07

Also I found that the Asda return option worked

DianaT1969 · 19/04/2021 17:17

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to order a summer dress, but won't now.
For anyone watching the thread with the same problem - don't try to generate a Royal Mail return label. Do it via their courier or Parcelshop options.

constantsnaxking · 19/04/2021 19:58

Yes I had the same. Finally managed to generate a label for Hermes. Will give it two weeks and speak to PayPal if nothing comes back. I had tweeted, emailed and got no response

Josie1968 · 19/04/2021 20:34

For me unfortunately I don’t have the despatch note and it was over the 14 days. The reason I need to return both items (jeggings) is that after a month they both developed holes, one of them a huge gaping hole just below my buttock!! Not good 😟
