What shampoo or shower product smells AMAZING

Doughnut100 · 10/04/2021 13:22

Please tell me your favourite smelling shower products especially volumising shampoo or shower moisturiser. (Bonus points if they are natural or come in bar form, but it's not a deal breaker.) Or even oils/ moisturisers etc for after the shower.

I just want to feel like I'm in a luxurious spa for 10 mins a day! I am pregnant and I mostly just feel like an elephant. I just bought various products but disappointingly none of them smell very intense.

Oloplex or Tigi Bedhead shampoo smells lovely

KoalaOok · 10/04/2021 13:23

And I like Noble Isle shower gel.

jay55 · 10/04/2021 13:25

Sol de Janeiro, the Brazilian bum bum cream people have a lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner.
It's awfully thick and doesn't like to come out the bottle, and makes the shower really slippery, so I can't recommend, but it smells marvellous.

IBelieveInAThingCalledScience · 10/04/2021 13:27

Kevin Murphy "Angel Rinse"

Not cheap and it will ruin you for every other shampoo, but the scent is pure luxury.

Doughnut100 · 10/04/2021 13:31

@IBelieveInAThingCalledScience that sounds just the ticket. I'm open to being ruined. Does the angel wash smell as nice or just the rinse? I have fine hair so usually skip the conditioner

Doughnut100 · 10/04/2021 13:34

@jay55 that shampoo looks great especially as I have fine hair

The Angel Wash smells exactly the same (might even be marginally stronger).

Ginevere · 10/04/2021 13:50

This is utterly divine. Not particularly spa smelling but like delicious cookies. I can’t use anything else now. It’s so lovely it once caused an awkward incident with someone who stole it from my shower 🙈. I bought mine in boots, they don’t have it on the website atm but you might find it in your local.

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil , doubles as bubble bath is amazing . Fragrance lasts on the skin too .

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 10/04/2021 13:58

Personally i love the fenjal range, recently bought the soap, moisturising body wash, bath oil, deoderant and moisturising body spray and body lotion, i smell lovely. 😁

yellowdenim · 10/04/2021 14:16

Second the l'occitane almond shower oil. Follow up with the almond oil or body milk and the scent lingers longer.

Doughnut100 · 10/04/2021 14:48

Strangely I already bought the the l'occitane almond shower oil and was underwhelmed...

Sebastian Professional products. You can get some on Amazon but the salon I used to go to use them and they smell gorgeous

piefacedClique · 10/04/2021 14:53

I love Korres.... loads of variety and smell amazing. I love a lemony smell.

Also L’occitane almond

SEE123 · 10/04/2021 14:59

Another vote for Korres. A friend bought a gift for me post birth which included some lovely shower gels and chocolates. It was such a nice touch. They smell divine and not extortionately priced.
For shampoo I use Nashi Argan. Not the easiest to get your hands on in the UK, but well worth it.

I was going to write this! I bought it from reading a post on here raving about it last year, and I couldn’t smell anything at all! It was bizarre!
ahagwearsapointybonnet · 10/04/2021 15:03

Yes Korres have some lovely ones, I just finished a bottle of Santorini Vines but also like the cinnamon vanilla one, basil lemon, almond and others.

For shampoo, the Ethique pink shampoo bar smells fab if you like solid shampoos, I think it's called Pinkalicious or something?

You didn't mention soaps, but I used Yorkshire Soap Co's Hedgerow soap in the shower for a while and it smells amazing and although it's expensive for a soap, it lasts ages so is more worth it than others that melt away really fast.

Chunkymenrock · 10/04/2021 15:04

Yes, I was underwhelmed by L'Occitane almond too. Very sad as I love almond fragrance but it didn't last at all and was nothing special at all. Dop almond French shower cream is fabulous though, but can't get in UK sadly. Sad

costco · 10/04/2021 15:06

Lush honey shampoo bar. You can buy a little round tin from lush as well to store it . Gorgeous smell and works really well in my fine hair

Doughnut100 · 10/04/2021 16:38

Thanks for all the great recommendations! I've gone a bit mad with it. Feeling very overwhelmed today so this is my pre-baby-swollen-ankles-nothing-fits retail therapy.

I've bought:
Kevin Murphy Angel Wash
Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose shower gel
Brazilian Joia Strengthening & Smoothing Shampoo
Korres passionfruit shower oil
Korres guava mango serum-in-shower oil
Erborian BB cream

I'm waiting for boots to get the Soaper Duper body wash back in, then I'll get the Fenjal body wash and ethique pinkalicious solid shampoo from Boots too. I'm also going to get the Weleda body butter and stretch mark oil.

Don't really know what I'm thinking, I'm not made of money...

An affordable range is Soap & Glory, I use their shower creams, body scrub, foot cream, bath cream and it's ace.
When I use the shower cream I don't need to put body lotion on, I have very dry skin but it leaves me silky soft and I can smell it on me all day, its usually on offer in Boots 3 for 2

jay55 · 11/04/2021 10:34

Hope you enjoy it all when it arrives.

Woodlandbelle · 11/04/2021 10:38

Clarins stuff smells strong and is lovely

Doughnut100 · 11/04/2021 11:08

@jay55 thank you!

Nesti Dante soaps - a lovely way to get rid of at least one lot of plastic in your bathroom!
