What shampoo or shower product smells AMAZING

Please tell me your favourite smelling shower products especially volumising shampoo or shower moisturiser. (Bonus points if they are natural or come in bar form, but it's not a deal breaker.) Or even oils/ moisturisers etc for after the shower.

I just want to feel like I'm in a luxurious spa for 10 mins a day! I am pregnant and I mostly just feel like an elephant. I just bought various products but disappointingly none of them smell very intense.

Another one underwhelmed by l'Occintane almond oil. I normally like l'Occitane stuff. How is one supposed to use it in the shower ? I was having to use loads and didn't feel clean.

I'm not keen on the l'occitane oil either, it smells super plasticky to me. Think it's a bit of a marmite product.

Howshouldibehave · 11/04/2021 15:36

I’m so glad it wasn’t me with the loccitaine almond oil-I just couldn’t see that it did anything! Certainly didn’t smell and didn’t get you clean or make your skin feel nice!

Doughnut100 · 11/04/2021 15:36

Love how this thread has turned into the club for women underwhelmed by l'occitane almond oil 😂

Yup it confuses me as to why the reviews are so good. Barely smells. The texture is ok but I have used the sanctuary shower oil for years and it's better because it's thicker and lasts forever, whereas I reckon I'd get through l'occitane one in 2-3 weeks. Also the sanctuary one is about 1/3 of the price when you buy 2 for 3 at boots. I only stopped buying the sanctuary one because of my quest for gorgeous smells as it's too subtle.

I've also used the soap & glory stuff for years, some of it smells so delicious but I fancied a change and something that feels a bit more luxurious. I'm not convinced the soap & glory range is actually that moisturising, could be that I've just over-used it though.

This is a really nice shampoo and conditioner , smells great to! My husband loves it and he shaves his head 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 (shaves it, let's it grow for a week then shaves again)

Clarins body moisturiser smells amazing

ScarlettDarling · 11/04/2021 20:20

Ooh op you must report back. I love a gorgeously scented shampoo.

ElderMillennial · 11/04/2021 20:26

I like the ESPA jasmine and sandwood(?) shower gel

ElderMillennial · 11/04/2021 20:27

I don't love the smell of loccitane almond oil either but I do like their products generally

Standrewsschool · 11/04/2021 20:28

I’m not usually bothered by shampoo smells, but love this one. Even my husband commentated on it. Nice shampoo also.

The Holland&Barrett Advent 2020 had a Tumeric shower gel that was gorgeous . I will have to search it out when I get to H&B

Have you found your sense of smell has gone weird in pregnancy ?

When I was pg with DC1 , the smell of lavender actually made me vomit . I still cannot bring myself to smell it and if I get a waft , my stomach lurches (not in a good way)

CurbsideProphet · 11/04/2021 20:41

I buy toiletries from a lovely small business in Cumbria called The Bath House. Everything smells absolutely incredible. It's not cheap, but so worth it.

Neonprint · 11/04/2021 20:43

Faith in nature.

Doughnut100 · 11/04/2021 21:46

@70isaLimitNotaTarget the smell of anything would make me retch up until 18 weeks. Now 37 weeks I think I'm back to normal! I've always hated lavender though.

I love the smell of Olaplex

QpopTYUIop9 · 11/04/2021 22:20

Lush “new” hair shampoo bar - really gorgeous and plastic free as it’s a bar
Lush snow fairy but only available at Christmas as a PP mentioned
Lush American cream conditioner

I don’t work for Lush but have been treating myself during lockdown and I love that they do plastic free shampoos and conditioners (in bar form)

I agree about l’occitane almond stuff - it’s nice but I wouldn’t rave about it.

Ren morrocan rose products are lovely

mammmamia · 12/04/2021 08:06

This is a weird one but my tween DD has been buying the imperial leather limited edition shower gels and some of them have amazing fragrances. There’s a unicorn one which I have re bought for myself a few times! It smells amazing and really lingers on our skin which is unusual for a cheap product.

Doughnut100 · 24/04/2021 06:31

The winner is Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose shower gel! Then Korres golden passion fruit serum-in-shower oil. Both smell delicious.

Kevin Murphy Angel Wash- nice but meh
Brazilian Joia Strengthening & Smoothing Shampoo - nice but meh
Korres guava mango renewing body cleanser - very nice
Erborian BB cream - amazing! Really looks like no makeup but somehow gives quite effective coverage.

L’occitaine almond shower gel is almost scent free. Takes ages to lather. I don’t get it. Underwhelming.

Authenticcelestialmusic · 24/04/2021 06:41

Late to the thread but The olive branch by lush. Also rituals of Ayurveda.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 24/04/2021 07:24

I love:

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom range.
Lush, Honey I Washed The Kids soap
Original Source Juicy Mango shower gel
Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose shower gel

LoveSleeping · 24/04/2021 07:27

My absolute favourite smell is the Nuxe Prodigieuse range - I have the shower oil and its gorgeous.

Followed by Ren Otto Rose
