Please tell me your best white trainer purchases! Ideally to wear with midi and maxi skirts but comfy enough to walk a distance.

I always admire the effortless way some of the women I have seen, walking around the streets of London in their white trainers and floaty dresses.

I am due to go to London (hopefully) in August and need a great pair of trainers that ideally are stylish and super comfy from the get go!

I would possibly need to add an insole depending on the trainer, as I’ve just had issues dealing with plantar fasciitis! Really don’t want to be putting up with that nonsense while trying to cram as much of London as I possibly can!

So, please tell me your go to trainers, the ones you know won’t let you down but that you feel good in too!

I do have a great lived in pair of Converse but fancy a change and really want to invest in a great pair of trainers that are going to stand the test of time!

I love Adidas Gazelles, I have had a lot of trainers and find these to be the most comfortable, and not too big and chunky looking.
I can wear them straight away without breaking them in first, which is unusual for me.

I actually like Leather converse.ive a white leather pair which i bought last year.ive several pairs of leather converse which i think even better than canvas ones. Then theres Supagra i ve a white and silver pair. Also Moda de pella trainers are lovely but they dont do a 2. I buy Junior in Converse and Supagra. They are just smaller versions of bigger suzes.

Mumofmanymorethanmost · 25/04/2021 18:18

Skechers all the way for me. Comfy and go with everything! But the proper trainers not the slip on things. I have some but I don’t think they are stylish at all!

Sendmetobarbados · 25/04/2021 18:26

@Shorthairlady

Also intrigued. Has anyone out there with narrow feet and non-existent ankles found a pair that don't look like bricks?
I have feet/ankles like this and vote for white Vejas.
Kittyclaws · 25/04/2021 18:30

I have these, they are v versatile- I’ve worn them with floaty dresses, midi dress, shorts and jeans in the past few weeks. Always get loads of compliments on them as well 😊

Lots to check out here
Can anyone recommend flattering white trainers in a proper size 9 (43)? so they may have to be unisex 🙈

mammmamia · 25/04/2021 18:39

Not read whole thread but I’ve just bought a pair of Supergas as well for summer.
Last year I had Nike Air Force 1.
Year before I had Adidas originals. Unfortunately I left them on the tube otherwise I’d still be wearing those Hmm

mammmamia · 25/04/2021 18:41

I also tried Stan Smiths and superstars in the past but the sizing has been all wrong for me.

nopuppiesallowed · 25/04/2021 18:46

I have wide feet and cankles (thanks, Mum!). Any suggestions, please?

OverByYer · 25/04/2021 18:47

Another vote for Nike airforce 1’s, I’m on my 2nd pair. They are so comfortable.
I used to love Converse but they are too flat and aggravated my Achilles tendinitis. I did try a pair of vejas but they are similar soles so didn’t risk them

For your PF, stand on the bottom stair with just the balls of your feet on the stair. Let your body weight take your heels below the stair tread. Feel the stretch down your calves. Stay there for 2/3 mins, and do it 4 times a day. Will sort it out. 👍🏻
Passmethefrazzles · 25/04/2021 19:19

Bloody hell that would be the holy grail: white, dress-friendly, affordable trainers that will help the feckin PF.
Avidly following this one.

bookish83 · 25/04/2021 19:20

Adidas Gazelles
Supergas
Reebok Classics

Not converse for distances!

SellFridges · 25/04/2021 19:23

Stan Smiths. So comfy. I have wide feet and they’re great for that.

Weareallvirgins · 25/04/2021 19:28

If your over a size 4 steer clear of white. They make your feet look clownlike. Sketchers maybe....
.

Achillislandsands · 25/04/2021 19:44

On this thread’s recommendation it was a toss up between Stan Smith’s or Superstars’s and I got the Superstars.. expensive but very comfy so far. Probably will wear them all summer as not buying anything else!
Btw I am a size 5 and no clown look here

AnnieSnap · 25/04/2021 19:46

Fitflops are very good for foot pain sufferers (plantar fasciitis, arthritis etc), but Clarks are now doing a better job with foot support an£ cushioning in the right places. I got these and they were comfortable straight away.

I love my Puma Carinia white trainers with dresses, use them with my orthotic insoles but the soles they came with are so comfy too. www.zalando.co.uk/puma-carina-trainers-pu111a0bl-a11.html

Spied · 25/04/2021 20:16

Lacoste Lerond are perfect.

These are my absolute favourites but have worn them so much since November they're now filthy! Really perfect to chuck on with dresses or my jeans!

WeWantAMackerelNotASprat · 25/04/2021 20:29

@PeterPeterson are they normally sized?

GloveFromAbove · 25/04/2021 20:34

Another vote for Adidas sleek. True to size I think.

CherryChapsticks · 25/04/2021 20:44

I wear All Birds or Ozweegos - both supremely comfortable but I wouldn't particularly class them as non clumpy if that's what you're after.

MissLathbury · 25/04/2021 21:03

@LynnShelley I would recommend New Balance 574s, I’ve got short stumpy legs and am a bit cankly and they’re very flattering.

www.newbalance.co.uk/women/shop-by-style/574-for-women/574/WL574V2-35949.html

These are the only white ones I can see at the mo, I got some white canvas ones last year which are nice and light. I swear by New Balance - they’re really comfortable, supportive, I walk a lot and consider them hard wearing, they look good with skirts or trousers, aren’t £££, aren’t trendy so they don’t really date but they come in lots of nice colours.

diamondpony80 · 25/04/2021 21:14

I bought Stan Smiths in my size last year and they’re a bit small on me. I don’t think I have wide feet (I’ve never had to buy any shoes in wide fit) but I find them a bit narrow. I kept them because I like them and I’m hoping once I’ve lost weight maybe my feet will shrink a bit. Probably wishful thinking!
