Anyone else having a post lockdown spending spree? I feel the need to emerge in spring colours and feel a refresh of the wardrobe is needed- out with the lounge-wear; in with floaty floral dresses!

Here are my purchases other stories
jigsaw
Dorothy Perkins

What has everyone else been buying? Would love to see and get more ideas!

Guess it's just me then. I have just bought more things from Jigsaw- some lovely floaty 3/4 length culottes with a black and white print and a cotton stripy jumper and some cotton trousers for work.

I'm excited for the weather to get better too - I'm on the hunt for some mid heel quilted nude mules.
I would also like a tan/caramel blazer.
Just. can't wait to go to real shops and have a mooch - Zara is first on my list.

BoogleMcGroogle · 28/03/2021 08:22

I like Jigsaw and those sound lovely. I’m excited too. Just bought a lovely tan leather cross body bag from John Lewis, for eye I get to go out carrying more than dog treats and poo bags.

I’m deciding between gold and bright red for a Mac I’ve seen in Hobbs.

I’ve bought a few things during lockdown. And have be getting out more than others as I go out to work. My latest purchase was a half price leather pencil skirt from Boden. Totally not my normal thing but life is short.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 28/03/2021 08:29

Between the start of lockdown and now I've gone from a size 22 to a size 14-16. I need new everything and have no idea what suits me now, I'm so very very desperate for clothes shops to open so I can have a look and see what might work now.

Love the DP dress, I always look at their website and nearly buy, but worry about the quality, the prices are so cheap! Anyone any idea if their stuff is ok?
I’m desperate to wear a floaty dress too OP, just got this one

@Jjjjjj1981 The DP dress is beautiful for the money! It's polyester, but is fully lined and quite a heavy fabric. Can't go wrong for £13! They are part of the Arcadia group so all shops will not br reopening again along with Topshop. I feel very sad about it- especially about Topshop!

Oooh, I love the Oliver Bonas dress- beautiful colours! I could be tempted!

Me too, mainly as I’ve fallen out of love with my mainly wintry work wardrobe. Sadly, I’m in France wherewe are probably heading for a lockdown but it is going to be a stylish one if so.

Coloured blazer for over my favourite linen mix black jumpsuit www.cache-cache.fr/veste-blazer-droite-camel-femme-36125367540184009.html#start=1

Hoping these go with the blazer too. Needed less wintry work trousers www.cache-cache.fr/pantalon-cigarette-camel-femme-36125341330441529.html

And these for some colour (wide 7/8 pants in violet?) www.cache-cache.fr/pantalon-droit-78eme-violet-fonce-femme-36125361340132541.html#q=Pantalons%2Blarge&lang=fr&start=1

Also slung in a couple of denim dungarees to try out s I’ve multiple jeans on their last legs and need a summer staple.

1frenchfoodie · 28/03/2021 08:56

Meant to sat I really like the DP dress OP, really classy without being frumpy.

JMAngel1 · 28/03/2021 09:01

Those violet trousers are gorgeous.

I don't do prints I"m afraid so I'm not feeling any if the floral dresses. My hair is crazy big curly so I find any print just makes me look too busy.

Oh I’ll definitely have another look at DP, thank you

That’s an amazing weight loss! Wow!
blametheparents · 28/03/2021 09:06

@Jjjjjj1981 - I’ve just ordered that dress too! It’s lovely.

FreekStar · 28/03/2021 09:15

I really like these sandals from Hobbs. They are expensive though so need to shop around for something similar but a bit cheaper.

I love your bold colour choices @1frenchfoodie

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/03/2021 09:25

I've ordered a couple of striped tops, after years of not wearing them (Seasalt)
Also ordered some camo trousers and a denim shirt from M & S
I could do with some nice cotton blouses for wearing with jeans
And maybe some blue skinnies for wearing rolled up

Ellpellwood · 28/03/2021 09:33

I've bought this:

TU

A stripy t shirt from Superdry as mine are getting tired, and these:

Nike blazers

I've just gone back into our casual office so the trainers are for that really!
I'm not sure I can invest in dresses just yet. They would definitely never get worn if opening up doesn't stay on schedule.

Ellpellwood · 28/03/2021 09:35

Damn, my TU link seems to have failed.

Post lockdown fashion spree!
dudsville · 28/03/2021 10:09

I really wanted to do a no-spend 21 but I've not managed. I've bought a dress and 2 skirts, shows, a couple of handbags. I've organised a lot of accessories (tights, necklaces, scarves), got a new pair of shoes.

I've also pulled things out of my wardrobe that I don't wear for one reason or another and have a little alterations pile as a result that I am making my way through!

cheshirecat777 · 28/03/2021 10:33

i have had stuff from DP and its been fine in quality terms

i love the magenta wide leg trousers

blametheparents · 28/03/2021 13:20

@FreekStar - Those Hobbs sandals are lovely!

DustySpringboard · 28/03/2021 16:13

Oooo absolutely love those Hobbs sandals too. They would be perfect in silver for summer evenings ‘out out’

I’d like a maxi to go with said silver sandals but think they’ve maybe had their day?

KitchenFairy · 28/03/2021 16:34

I'm desperate for a shopping spree but I'm just not feeling the colours atm. I'm a House of Colour 'Spring' and although I don't stick rigidly to it, there's not much online that suits my colouring currently.

I'd love to find something similar to the Hobbs sandals but cheaper.

bellagogosdead · 28/03/2021 17:20

I have been trying, but nearly everything I order is being sent back!
A couple of things are quite different from their description, one top is too snug two more absolutely drown me.
I just want a few shirts for going to the pub.Sad

FreekStar · 28/03/2021 17:35

I really like Other Stories dresses- these two just caught my eye. The spotty dress looks like it would be lovely for holidays abroad- I can but dream! and the shirt dress looks nice for a realistic British sunmmer or for work.

@bellagogosdead Have you tried Boden for shirts, I have one from there from a couple of years ago and I really like it!
