Anyone else at least a tiny bit impressed?

And have you bought anything?

@faustina, I bought the hoodies in white (L) and blue (M). I've only worn the blue so far, but I had to wash it today after covering it with curry splashes yesterday (it has washed well for information). On me, M is a neat fit for t-shirts and sweaters. I am a small size 12. I size up to L if I want slouchy and to XL if I think a design would look better on me very slouchy.

The hoodies are planned to work over active wear I think. They stand away from the body at the hip (but there's a cord to gather) and are slightly longer at rear view, an inch or 3cm. I think they would look odd over wide leg jeans.

In my view, they are fab for £40, but I would warn you that when I looked at one of the Asian Uniqlo websites they sold out very fast in all the colours and all the sizes. At that stage there seemed to be no returns. I think this has been a really successful collaboration, and I am minded to stalk a pair of jeans just to try. I'd be interested to try the 25-inch waist jeans Faustina, because I've read a couple of times that this range is running a bit narrower than normal Uniqlo jeans. I hover between an 8 and a 10.

XingMing · 27/03/2021 20:02

Sorry I didn't answer the question @faustina. If you want the photo style fit, buy your regular Uniqlo size. The design is cut to fit slouchy.

XingMing · 27/03/2021 20:10

The M hoody is loose on the body, but neat on shoulders. The sleeves are cut quite narrow, with a small armhole to make the fit very sleek. Interestingly, the seam runs on the inside of your arm/elbow, not beneath it, which is much more flattering on me.

faustina · 27/03/2021 20:10

@XingMing - thank you! I actually saw loads of hoodies this morning, so they have restocked, and now I've read your opinion I might see if I can pick one up tomorrow if they restock again - I liked the way they stuck out at the back

I have the 24 jeans and they might just do (they were much better when tried the second time), but I would also like to try a 25

faustina · 30/03/2021 07:01

Lots back online today, if anyone's interested!

Nitgel · 30/03/2021 07:40

Thanks faustina ordered the stripey shirt

Although ...

I did get the thing I wanted. Any more would be greed.

And I'm not sure, right at this moment, about wanting things tried on and returned by other people ...

OP posts:
Nitgel · 30/03/2021 08:40

They wouldn't be returned this quickly surely

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 30/03/2021 08:46

You may be right! Don't know actually. Since last Thursday? No idea how Uniqlo returns are processed.

Has anyone bought their oversized half-sleeve t-shirts? The description says they are mercerised and therefore have a "glossy sheen". Trying to work out what that's going to look like, and not wanting to pay delivery costs (and possible return costs) for something that is only £15.00...

Frequentflier · 30/03/2021 10:25

@Maudesmum I have just bought one. Yeah their new no free returns policy is v annoying. I will update when it arrives.

Frequentflier · 30/03/2021 10:29

Wish they had slightly more exciting colours than the navy, grey and black that I have been wearing all winter.

botemp · 30/03/2021 10:30

@MaudesMum I ordered it, it's not very glossy, it has a sheen but nothing blinding. I'm not finding it very oversized though so it's going back.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/03/2021 10:37

I've got the joggers in my bag in blue but I'm not sure about the sizing - I've got a M in my bag but I'm a generous 14 ...

Anyone know ?

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 30/03/2021 11:38

Frequentflier, my stripey shirt is probably the brightest thing in my wardrobe right now!

But after a year of staring at the walls I am feeling unusually in need of colour in clothes. And am beginning to notice just how many designers/brands produce items, all year round, that are just not intended for my colouring. Really having to branch out from all the Anglo-Saxon camouflage neutrals.

Love it op. Have you seen that film with Tilda Swinton where the costumes are Jil Sander ? Very chic

Frequentflier · 30/03/2021 11:42

But the stripey shirts are blue and white or gray and white? Am looking for nice bright fuchsia, emerald or turquoise now.🙂 Also avoiding shirts bcos I cant handle ironing.

Alsohuman · 30/03/2021 11:43

If anyone’s concerned about the lack of free returns, you can sign up for 14 return refunds if you pay with PayPal. You pay the cost and then claim it back.

Extremelyilluminated · 30/03/2021 11:45

I Am Love is the film. Gorgeous styling.

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 30/03/2021 11:54

Here you go, Frequentflier. All the colour you could wish for. I am obsessed with this brand at the moment. It's an expensive habit to develop. (Which is why I've been so eager to balance things out with Uniqlo.)

Frequentflier · 30/03/2021 12:30

@PursuingProxemicExactitude Eeeps those prices. Racing back to Uniqlo:)

Floisme · 30/03/2021 12:41

I'm fond of a bit of colour but it has to be the right colour and, for me, this is something Uniqlo - and to be fair, the high street in general - often gets wrong. I imagine the limited palette is one way JS has managed to keep the prices down.

Frequentflier · 30/03/2021 16:23

I do like the shackets. V jaunty.

For colour on the high street, I like Esprit. Often have lots of bright terracotta, green and pink.

faustina · 30/03/2021 16:36

I think what arrived this morning can't have been returns - they must have had another delivery of stock or something like that?

@LaurieFairyCake I have just returned two pairs of jeans because they were very small compared to usual Uniqlo denim. It might be worth ordering two sizes to try

I wish they would get more stock of the jackets - I quite like the safari one!
