It’s gradual tan time again....

It’s warm enough to bare ankles so they need some colour. I’m scared of “proper” fake tan so always use a gradual tanner - most recently a Superdrug own brand which I can’t find anymore but was great smell-wise, but have also used all the usual suspects- St Tropez, Garnier Summer Body, Bondi Sands etc. They all suffer from “that” smell on me.

Hit me with your recommendations for a good non-smelly gradual tan - I’m willing to throw some money at this for the right product, it will become a staple as the limbs come out over the next few months!

Any tips on getting fake tan on the back of your hands without getting a ride mark on your fingers or orange palms? I usually put a blob on the back of my hands and rub the tops together, but always get a tell tale line on my fingers.

@cherrytree63 I just sweep cream down to the backs of hands when doing each arm then wash hands with soap just on the palms and slightly in between each finger, never really have an issue. But this is another reason I favour the gradual tans because it’s more idiot proof than the instant tans which can go horribly wrong with lines and streaks

Skinny Tan Body Glow- it’s their gradual tanner.
The lotion pump (not the spray) in the Medium.
Seriously you will never look at another product, it’s ace.
Smells lovely (like genuinely nice) and is super moisturising.
Leave it on overnight, once or twice a week and I guarantee you’ll have the best looking natural colour you’ve ever had.

Superbug frequently have it on a bogof but Skinnytan themselves had it on offer last wk, 3 bottles for £15. Might still be on

I tried the Evolve Sunless Glow as recommended by Sali Hughes, Guardian beauty columnist.
I was underwhelmed.
It is organic.
The colour is nice.
The smell is awful - like a Liz Earle handcream I once had - perhaps chamomile.
It doesn't sink in to the skin quickly so a bit faffy after a shower in the morning.
I feel bad being negative about it because it's a small local business which is the type I like to support.

I have bought the Skinny Tan Body Glow in medium and look forward to trying it out.
