Foreo Bear users -Sally Hughes of the Guardian says all such devices are a useless waste of money. Is that true?

I have been stealing myself to pay the £££‘s.

Online reviews are all positive but then in yesterday’s Guardian the beauty person said that facial muscles don’t sag and it was all about loss of collagen therefore micro current devices would not work.
I want her to be wrong because I want it to work. I also want her to be right so that I can save my money.
Thoughts?

I use CosRX advanced snail 96 mucin power essence and a thermal water to keep it damp if I'm doing a longer routine.

I use Hada Labo Lotion the yellow bottle with my NyFace.

I think it works. I've never been paid for my opinion on cosmetics or devices.

I ordered some ultrasound gel. Am happy to wash face before and after treatment.

I’m using ultrasound gel but it’s a bit messy.

I had meningitis 20 years ago and it made one of my eyes droop. Its got worse as I’ve aged and the other eye is a bit hooded now too. 2 treatments in and my eye feels stronger, the lid is opening wider.

I’m trying to get the app to work. Every time I enter the code they send it comes up with an error. Not good.

Contacted foreo and they got back to me within mins with a code that worked. I seem to be all synchronised. Now to find a time to do it

I have a Nuface fix which is tiny and not v powerful so I wasn't expecting much of it - it was for just around my eyes. I have found is fantastic. Fine lines on forehead greatly reduced, eyes better and my lips look like I've had a bit of filler almost.

@Flambola Oh crikey, it is as bad as it sounds.
I had to look up the location of the gracilis muscle ( my biology is somewhat rusty) What an amazing thing they are doing, but what a trauma for you with all the rehab and stuff.

How long does it take for them to work? Is it something you could do just for special events? If they work quickly that might be enough motivation to do it if you're going out somewhere.

Mine are getting there but at a slower rate than my brow. I've just had a look on Ebay, used Magnitones do sell well so there's not a massive risk. If you do decide to give it a try, plenty of places (inc. Boots) have it for 60.

That is one of my key problem areas and I have to say no change for me but im only about a month in, so there’s time. Eyebrows - massive improvement pretty much immediately. I suspect it’s because the jowls tend to be displacement of fat that used to be on the cheek bone, that’s now dropped basically. So you’re trying to encourage every back upwards with sweeping strokes and whether or not that’s even possible I’m not sure.

I think for some people it’s loose skin. For me it’s that my jaw used to be heart shaped and now it’s kind of square because of this flesh that’s now there that used to be further up my face.

My face has just collapsed, @justanotherneighinparadise. Ideally I’d like the lower face lift that was posted about on here a while ago.

@SparklingLime was that the person who posted pictures of before and after? If so I want a device that does that!
