Tights!

Can anyone recommend some good tights please?!

Have always bought from m&s and the quality used to be really good and reliable. I'm only 5'4 and a size 8-10 so size small should fit but recently every pair has been poor quality, I quite like the shaping ones which smooth out tummy, bum and hips but they've been short in the leg. Medium would probably be too baggy! The cheap multipack ones have really gone down in quality too and they feel like they have no elasticity!

Recommendations for other brands (not too pricey!) would be gratefully received!

John Lewis own brand are good I have found (similar size to you, a bit taller - I take a small).

Snag are great, comfortable

I bought a dozen pairs from Snag after someone else posted a near identical post to yours and they were the most common recommendation - it was good advice; they’re great, comfortable and wash really well.

BikeRunSki · 14/03/2021 17:38

Snag, but not the thinnest ones. They snag easily.

Primark shaping tights. I'm down to my last pair and can't wait for them to open so I can stock up!! Think they're £4 a pair so friendly on the pocket!! I wear them every day and for £4 they last me 4-6 weeks a pair!!

Snags. I've been buying from for a couple of years and they are durable and very comfy.

Puffalicious · 21/03/2021 00:30

Another vote for SNAG- best I've ever had. So comfortable and never roll down. You order by height and size so they should be perfect..

StarlightLady · 21/03/2021 04:13

OP, l don’t know what you have usually been buying from M&S but their Autograph Seam Free tights are a game changer.

They are a lovely fit, extra comfy as no seam (as the name implies) and have a “proper” cotton gusset, so knickers optional.

RichPetunia · 21/03/2021 04:25

Snag. Hands down the best tights I’ve ever owned. You give them your measurements (from a chart) and they make them to fit.
Total gamechanger.

MynahBird · 21/03/2021 04:28

Snag for sure. Best tights ever.

WinchGirl · 21/03/2021 06:24

I have started buying these www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2710118_c047/1-pair-15-denier-body-shaper-tights-nude and I was very surprised and pleased.
They have a bri!light body shaping section that works, they look great on, feel nice to wear and don't fall down. Also seem to last quite a few wears too. They are now my go to sheer tights

StationView · 21/03/2021 08:13

Look no further than Snag. You just put them on and forget about them. Never have to hoick them up.

takethedeviledeggs · 21/03/2021 08:23

Snag. They're brilliant.

TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 21/03/2021 08:26

Yes to SNAG. Definitely the thicker ones. I'm a nurse of 20 years and only wear dresses, the Bain of my life was tights that didn't fit but the thicker snag ones are fab!

Another vote for Snag. I’m short and a fairly small dress size (8-10) but with the legs of a footballer. Tights either do the ungainly crotch drop or cling lovingly to my ankles and nowhere else. Snags are so comfy and I love the colours! I’d be in heaven if they did support tights too.
