Is Beauty Pie worth it?

Is it worth it? I am happy with £5 per month, but if the products are good then again I'd be happy to spend £100 for the year.

IMO the stuff is overall good yes
The membership pricing is badly described, misleading eg £5 month when you spend £50. Ok,so I take that to mean £50 of goods in basket to be purchased. No, they mean the RRP (That they set) must not exceed £50 with thr £5 plan

So you’d not be able to buy the perfume as it’s RRP is £125, not the £18.26 it sells for

Yes, I don’t use it exclusively but for some products it’s great. The scrubs, some serums and the ceramide capsules. I wouldn’t bother with any of the vitamin c and I already use Tret so don’t need any retinol. I use different brand of moisturiser, mist, eye treatment

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 28/02/2021 18:28

The ordinary are better quality and no faff with membership
Plus beauty pie is minimum 3mth membership

JofraArchersFastestBall · 28/02/2021 18:34

I thought the products were nice enough, but not worth what they cost when you take into account the membership, plus postage, plus cost of buying things you don't need or can't use because of the hype or not being able to try things before purchasing.

All in all, it's cheaper for me to just buy what I need from boots, with the occasional treat from somewhere fancier.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 28/02/2021 18:35

They’d be better offering an accessible membership and you buy what you want
It’s too much of a faff and other brands eg the ordinary are better

ParisJeTAime · 28/02/2021 19:12

Sounds like a pain in the arse. Unless their products were AMAZING, I don't think I'd bother tbh.

The Ordinary can be a bit of a mixed bag IME. Some of their stuff is a bit harsh. I like Neal's Yard, but it annoys me that they are an MLM Shock. Only found this out recently. Put me off.

Beetlewing · 28/02/2021 19:25

I had it for the past couple of years and I've just cancelled. I found it was deterring me from trying other brands products because I'd already shelled out for the subscription. The products themselves are great though and last ages.

MakeMineALarge1 · 28/02/2021 20:56

Mixed reviews.
Thankyou fie clarifying the basket price vs RRP.

I signed up a few years ago and left because you have to have subscription and p&p costs, wasn't convinced the skincare was worth the RRP as they are fairly basic ingredients
However I've just signed up again as they got some new things I'd like to try, just received the plantastic cleanser, the compact powder and foot mask, the cleanser on first impressions does seem really good and the powder is lovely.

Has anyone tried the candles? Are they luxury quality? Wondered about ordering one of those.

kooked · 28/02/2021 21:32

I got eye cream, I don't rate it.

SuperDuperJezebel · 28/02/2021 23:28

@honeysuckle21the candles get a bit of mixed reviews, the smells are amazing but some people don't think they're luxury quality. I bought a sample of the Bahia De Miel one and it's amazing, and my friend raves about the clean house one. I absolutely LOVE the foot peel socks, I bought a pair from a different brand recently and the BP ones were a LOT better.

honeysuckle21 · 28/02/2021 23:39

@SuperDuperJezebel thank you, I'll think I try your suggestion then. I used the foot peel on Friday so waiting to see if there any effects.

blisstwins · 01/03/2021 05:45

The pricing schemes and plans are borderline nonsensical, but the products are really quite nice. I am a new member and LOVE the health skin scrub and some of the lipsticks have been great.

FlipperSkipper · 01/03/2021 05:51

The RRPs were dreamed up by someone on acid, but most of the products I’ve tried are really good. Love the vitamin c capsules, foot peeling socks, eyebrow pencil, lip gloss and face powder.

Yes the RRP is just a fanciful made up number

Lamentations · 01/03/2021 21:28

I love it. I have the £5 membership and buy a few things every 3 months or so.

seven30 · 01/03/2021 21:32

I loooooove it

crazybunchofdolls · 01/03/2021 21:35

It's ok. Overall I've been pleased but not blown away. It does help me cap my beauty spend though, as I'm reluctant to dip into other brands because I spend my membership each month!
I also like that it's vegan and cruelty free, and they don't use a lot of plastic.

seven30 · 02/03/2021 12:55

Ive switched all my products over to BP now and my skin is doing so well

ParisJeTAime · 02/03/2021 12:56

That's good @seven30. Would you recommend anything in particular?

MuddleMoo · 02/03/2021 14:50

I liked it, especially the Japanfusion cleanser. I've stopped for a bit but might start up again. I don't want everything I use to come from there so would stick to £5 a month. Maybe increase it near Christmas.

seven30 · 02/03/2021 18:25

@ParisJeTAime

That's good *@seven30*. Would you recommend anything in particular?
My daily routine is:

Plantastic balm cleanser/Jeju daily cleanser
Triple hyaluronic serum or vit c serum
Japanfusion rich moisturiser
(Nails inc mist)
Ultralight 25 spf (featherlight 50 spf in summer)

Evening I add in an overnight oil and or capsule.

I also use tretinoin from dermatica

seven30 · 02/03/2021 18:26

The bp mist is really good but it's actually quite expensive and I use loads of mist hence I haven't bought it more than once. Will definitely get it again for a treat.

ParisJeTAime · 02/03/2021 18:34

Thanks seven! I've got a a bit of a stash of beauty stuff to get through, but once I have, I might give it a go Smile.

Just out of curiosity! Having said it sounds like a massive pain in the arse Grin
