Is Beauty Pie worth it?

Is it worth it? I am happy with £5 per month, but if the products are good then again I'd be happy to spend £100 for the year.

The easiest way to work out the cost to you for an individual item is the price they charge you plus the rrp with the decimal place moved to the left.
So an £80 rrp moisturiser that is priced to you at £15 is £15 plus £8, so £23- the £8 reflects the percentage of your monthly subscription cost.
Not inc packaging.
Personally I find the skincare ok. There is good and bad stuff in there a I have found a few faves. I like the makeup and it encourages me to experiment a bit.
I roll my months over to save on the cost of postage.

@ParisJeTAime

Thanks seven! I've got a a bit of a stash of beauty stuff to get through, but once I have, I might give it a go Smile.

Just out of curiosity! Having said it sounds like a massive pain in the arse Grin

I guess I found it a pain before I fell in love with my current routine.

I also like that it's a set amount of choice because scrolling through cultbeauty/boots etc etc can be overwhelming with all the brands and packaging.

If there is something of a different brand I really want to try, I can, but I know that my staple stuff is all covered on one website and I also roll over the months to save on postage. Tend to do a big order every 3 months.

The eyeshadow sticks are seriously excellent and the undereye genius is the best concealer I've ever used!

Are their sheet masks any good?

@MuddleMoo

Are their sheet masks any good?
All sheet masks are an utter waste of time and terrible waste
MuddleMoo · 02/03/2021 21:55

Ok will avoid then. I used one once and thought it was a bit gloopy

BarbaraofKent · 02/03/2021 21:58

What is with all these 'membership' business models for buying products, see also Fabletics, Savage Fenty etc. It instantly puts me off, I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole. Way too much scope for getting ripped off!

seven30 · 02/03/2021 22:18

I'm not getting ripped off

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/03/2021 21:08

In fairness I don’t read it as @Barbara specifically saying you’re getting ripped off
She said Way too much scope for getting ripped off! which I agree with
The model relies on a membership subscription to allow purchase. Beauty pie set the RRP and determine the tariffs and spend

On the £5 per Month model you cannot actually even buy the perfume
It’s a very restrictive range of products for the £5 minimum tariff

daysdaze · 04/03/2021 12:38

It's not if you wait a few months and build your allowance

Housewife2010 · 04/03/2021 12:56

I've been a member for four years. I'm on the £5 tariff now and order every few months. The prices have increased a lot since the beginning so it is not such a bargain now. I've found some products to be excellent, some fine and a few were destined for the bin. I'm happy to stay on £5 a month and order occasionally.

veryveryquietly · 04/03/2021 14:53

Have moved between £10 and £5 monthly and been quite happy with most of what I've purchased. Like others, I do a big order every 3 months or so. Haven't loved the makeup (aside from the amazing eyeshadow sticks), but quite happy with the skin care, especially the Super Retinol high dose and the Vitamin C capsules and the C-Suite brightener. Makeup brushes and the fragrances (if they suit your taste) are good value too. I don't love the candles, as they are quite strong and frequently sold out (though I wish they would bring back the Sunshine one).

XingMing · 04/03/2021 17:14

I really rate the JapanFusion skincare, and have probably bought everything but the outstanding product is the hydrating toner. Decant it into a fine spray bottle and it saves the cotton pads and goes much further. I also like most of the SuperHealthy range, but the other stuff can be too scented. No interest in their scent (I bought the sample set) or candles.

The make up is okay but One Powder Wonder compact is worth the subscription price on its own... I must have bought eight between me, DSis and for others.

1Wanda1 · 04/03/2021 20:51

I love BP skincare. Make up hit and miss but the skin care is top drawer and make up brushes great too

lulla12345 · 04/03/2021 21:09

I had a £5 subscription and could never get anything I wanted, the black Friday deals are good. I cancelled it recently and now just buy what I want off ebay. Most bestsellers are on ebay.

You can roll over the allowance to buy more in one go
Rayna37 · 06/03/2021 02:21

I have the £5 membership and just let my allowance build up, and stock up every few months. I particularly like the triple hyaluronic and super retinol serums, and the eyeshadow crayons.
