The un-Parisian look

I’ve probably completely misrepresented Parisians here but title named in response to other threads.

Can we have a thread about fun clothes that maybe aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but that bring you joy? Not any particular style but probably not a Breton stripe (sorry).
On order for me right now are a pair of orange dungarees from Lucy and Yak and two vintage T-shirt’s from urban outfitters that have been altered with a bubble hem or a ruched bit. I’d share a link to the UO tops but the stupid thing keeps defaulting to the app not web and the solution is beyond me.

@HerNameIsY0shimi I LOVE the first pair of L&Y trousers - I’ve been pondering getting a pair for a while.

My favourite item at the moment is a pair of Run and Fly dinosaur dungarees. I have L&Y ones but find the fit a bit off.

Thanks @Thidwick! I'll see how they are when they arrive. I'm picky with clothes, so won't hesitate to send back if they aren't right.

My people! Cat-themed clothes make sense to me.

I'm a big fan of colour, black and navy look horrible on me. Not pattern so much, stripes and checks OK. And have to be comfy, made of (mostly) natural fibres. LOVE L+Y dungarees and have in orange, teal and green - I like the shape of the Originals because I've a flat arse and narrow hips with bigger chest and think they balance me out. Have a green boilersuit from them too.

Other shops I like are - American Vintage, Toast, Monki, Gap and Hush, (harem pants and summer knitwear) and I look longingly at the LF Markey website, but sadly out of budget.

Most recent purchases was this sweatshirt and these orange orange joggers

Loving all the unicorn tie-die around atm!

I can do the Parisien thing but only up to my waist. I feel underdressed in flats though? I suit jewel colours and love bright flowered tops/shirts, so that kinda scuppers any 17th arrondissement shenanigans really.

I love over sized shirts too, and especially like the Mad Men way of dressing. It's hard to look Parisienne when you're an hourglass, blonde too

I have these absolutely garish 80s style jeans that are just brilliant, kind of tye died white wash? I love them but daren't wear them in public

Last thing from me, but I also love what I call Mid - Western mom fashion, available in Walmart Grin So lots of fleeces with patterns on the shoulders, loose t-shirts. I need to be locked up really

@hernameisyoshimi Love the trousers. Let us know how you get on. I've been eyeing up L&Y Addisons/Alexas but I'm a bit worried about them being too baggy. A bit baggy is fine!

HerNameIsY0shimi · 13/03/2021 17:11

@Sendmetobarbados, I'll report back Smile

I think the Addisons are meant to be big on the leg, but quite snug on the waist. The Alexas are meant to be quite big all over and people say to size down a bit.

The Kia ones I've ordered are meant to be like Alexas but slimmer on the leg!

I have had to do much research as you can probably tell Grin
