Many many injections. Weep.

ParisJeTAime · 11/03/2021 13:15

Oh no charlotte! You poor thing Flowers.

Hooray for trying on in shops again @UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme! But boo at the poor selection of larger cup sizes Hmm. Tbf, if it wasn't for Bravissimo, I don't think the other shops would have caught on and started stocking them here either! I was on the hunt for trousers yesterday, which I wanted a size up (20). Omg, there is next to nothing! It's really dreadful. The shops which stock the bigger sizes are all out of stock in bigger sizes, which obviously shows there is a bigger demand than they are choosing to cater for. Harrumph. I bought some a size down in Lucy and Yak, as the reviews said they ran big. We shall see though!

Which trousers did you order from L&Y? I have a few of their styles.

Today’s outfit: dress from New Look, cardigan from Gudrun Sjöden, tights from Snag.

Lovely outfit again sonja!

The trousers I have ordered are Kia and Addison (I think). My main concern is the waist and hip area...

Here I am in a Tu jumpsuit, which I'm not convinced by. . Just trying it on. But, it is very comfy. Like wearing pjs! So I might keep it for summer. Will try with a cardi over the top now too.

Actually, I quite like it with the cardi. Think I will keep!

I really like that @ParisJeTAime, the sleeves are really cute.

ParisJeTAime · 11/03/2021 16:30

Thanks @LivingDeadGirlUK! That's actually a tshirt underneath to keep me warm. I'm wearing it out in a minute, so it can't be returned now 😬. So comfy, so no regrets.

I'm wearing a long sleeved t shirt in a landscape design, who my DH bought from New chic for me for Christmas. They're fad better than I'd have expected for a Chinese site. Black ribbed trousers courtesy of peacocks, and khakis slippers.

ParisJeTAime · 11/03/2021 17:39

Oh that top sounds lovely @goose1964.

I'm out on site AGAIN today, 3 times in one week, I'm exhausted lol.

Managed to dress very similar to yesterday, same jeans but instead of the sweater I've got a long sleeved black T-shirt from M&S on. If I get chilly I'll chuck on a leopard print fleece I got from a Facebook selling site, I'll try and get a photo if I do as I don't think I've shown you lot it :)

StCharlotte · 12/03/2021 10:58

I had a brown chenille cardigan with a furry leopard print shawl collar. Sadly it was in a tea chest in our garage with loads of other clothes which all got leaked on from a hole in the garage. Apart from a black jersey dress I couldn't remember what else was in there. Maybe that's the way to get rid of clothes ha ha! Nothing else in there, just this tea chest and I managed to place it directly under the hole. Skillz Grin

ParisJeTAime · 12/03/2021 11:45

How are the teeth/visage today Charlotte? Lol we had a Blu Ray player, back when they were brand new tech. Came home from work one day and the flat above us had some sort of leak. There was water pouring like a tap, directly on to the Blu Ray player. But.. it still worked and we still have it! It's our only DVD player!

Oh so many outings for you this week @LivingDeadGirlUK!

I'm in hoody dress and jeggings today. It is Balters again here! Ffs.

Waiting for my nice new trousers to come from L&Y as want to try on. I've ordered a selection now as wasn't sure re sizing. If any are keepers or borderline, I'll post pics for feedback!

Teeth are fine thanks and the worst is over thank God. Will have a Hollywood smile in the next few weeks.

Completely forgot I'd ordered this dress which is another colourway of one I ordered a few weeks ago. Anyway it arrived today and I'm very happy with it. Perfect for work (I'm much shorter than the model).

Back in the office full time in April. New wardrobe, new boots, lost a bit of weight, new teeth (ha ha!), they won't know me!

StCharlotte · 12/03/2021 14:33

I may be exaggerating when I say "Hollywood" smile Grin

ParisJeTAime · 12/03/2021 15:09

Glad you feel ok now Charlotte and new teeth! I could definitely do with having my teeth straightened out a bit.

I think anyone going back to work after loads of time WFH, during a pandemic, who hasn't GAINED a tonne of weight in the meantime is superhuman Grin.

Thank fuck it's weekend. I am wrecked. God knows why! Only one dc at home instead of two, but somehow, I'm shattered. I have been doing a lot more walking than usual this week and I've also been running a couple of times this week. I hadn't been for ages, so maybe it's a shock to the system!

Anyway, early night and book for me tonight.

StCharlotte · 12/03/2021 16:54

Early night a book sounds lovely! We've had a couple of stressful weeks with [normally lovely] MIL breaking her hip. She's back at home now but it's like she's had a personality transplant and is being a tad demanding. I'm dreading the phone going at the moment! So just curling up in bed would be heaven...

I had to lose some weight for medical reasons. I've had a bit of an overhaul of myself this last year. Also, it helped during the first lockdown my niece was doing my shopping so I couldn't really say "stick a twin pack of jaffa cakes in there will you?" Actually I'm sure I could have but I didn't. Also when doing the online shop now, I just don't buy snacks. I actually want to gnaw my way through a wholesale box of chocolate oranges today!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 12/03/2021 17:16

I'm shattered too, all this leaving the house is bloody exhausting. What's the deal with the Saturday style challenge? I may give that a go tomorrow :)

sonjadog · 12/03/2021 18:26

I have been looking at this dress, but I am not 100% sure about it. I haven't bought anything from White Stuff before and I also haven't bought a dress made in sweatshirt material before. Does anyone here have any thoughts on these? It looks really comfy, but I am not sure if the fabric will be stiff and made me look even larger than normal. Thanks for any help!

ParisJeTAime · 12/03/2021 18:31

I think it's lovely @sonjadog! I've never bought white stuff clothes, but have bought a necklace and some shoes there before and found the quality good enough, but not remarkably great iyswim. But that is purely based on those two items.

sonjadog · 12/03/2021 19:03

Thanks! I am very tempted...

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme · 12/03/2021 19:29

I can't see the dress by because of sinister internet algorithms knowing that I'm in Germany and redirecting me to the start page of the German site with a warning about long delivery times Sad

I'm disproportionately upset that an underwired bikini top I ordered in an 80 F turned up in an 80 E and the cups are absolutely frigging teeny. What on earth is it with shops conspiring to only sell me E cups. Also my existing bras are from England and I've twigged too late that a German E is a UK DD, so no bloody wonder they're microscopic. Argh!

I was really looking forward to pools opening as I'm having troubles with my back and swimming really helps (also pissed off that I've lost 5 stone and now my back starts giving me trouble again, which only happened twice for 3 month phase each time in the ten years I was obese... but my existing swimwear is much to big and properly indecent, but I'm struggling to buy the right size because of the curse of the teensy cups...

I think German women must go up the band sizes instead of cup sizes like our mothers used to do, as a very very slim colleague told me today shes an 85A or B (38 A or B) and she's a clothes size 36 - so 8. no way is that her correct bra size.

StCharlotte · 12/03/2021 20:01

I bought this dress from White Stuff. It's really nice quality so I would recommend them.

Oh yes, I remember you buying that dress Charlotte. It's lovely!

Ugh how annoying @UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme! Yes, I remember as a much slimmer student, being measured in M&S and being told I was a 40B or something. Went to a department store a week later and was a 32F! M&S used to be awful for measuring and bras never fit me there.

I have just forked out a bit, (maybe not as much as I should have though), on some slightly better running shoes, with a lot more cushioning. I have to run on the pavements or roads, as the parks are so muddy. It's like running on sand! Don't want to bugger my knees while trying to get fitter. That would be annoying.

I love the tucked in top with the belt and also your shoes. Also have hair envy EnvyWink. Will my hair ever swish? No. The answer is no Grin
