Wearing a pink and navy print Joules top (pack of two) plus my M&S 'MOM' jeans which are waaaaay too big on the thighs but at least they are comfy!!!!

StCharlotte · 07/04/2021 13:30

JimmyJabs I too will miss your pictures.

So I'm back in the office but I'm in a different room. My old room was toasty warm but the new room is bloody freezing! So I'm wearing a cosy jumper dress from Sainsbury's today and hopefully I'll actually be able to get some work done today. Yesterday was a nightmare getting setting up etc and now I'm really behind Angry

Love that @StCharlotte. Very cosy.

I'm cold today. Nobody else is in my 'office' (house). We are off for a walk in a bit. Hopefully that will warm me up a bit.

Deathraystare thanks for the information, I've just had another look, I like the Pilar ones...

We have deep snow on the ground here again, its quite depressing now...

I've got to take DD to an emergency orthodontist appointment (brace trouble) then I have late+ night shift. Wearing my second pair of Levi 501s (love the light blue ones I bough afew months ago and wear them whenever they aren't in the wash, so bought a dark grey pair too) and a white stuff jersey shirt (also was wearing the one I had frequently but its fairly distinctive pattern so bought 3 more in similar styles but different colours/ patterns to wear for work). Not that different to the last picture I posted so not really worth a photo.

StCharlotte · 08/04/2021 08:21

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme sounds like you've got a tough day coming up.

You can tell I'm back in the office by the flood of pictures of navy dresses Grin

This is a ribbed swing dress from M&S.

Off to dentist (again!) before work. Have a good day everyone Smile

@UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme - I love 501's and think your look is fab. I wish I could wear them but they won't come over my pear shaped hips and bum..
Lovely dress @StCharlotte - and I am jealous of all your trips out and about....
I've been lurking (and admiring) but not posting, I've mostly worn M&S jeggings and cosy jumpers on rotation recently. Today I'm wearing new Poetry linen tapered trousers. They were expensive but are excellent quality heavy linen with a waist that actually fits me as well as fitting my hips and bum... it's so hard for me to find trousers that fit properly - I'm very happy to find these. I'll be saving for another pair!! Wearing them with a Toast jumper and birkies ( but in reality I'm wearing woolly socks and slippersGrin.)

ParisJeTAime · 08/04/2021 15:01

@StCharlotte, there's a lot to be said for wearing similar items most days...not that I do that...ahem.

Great trousers @alphaechokiwi!

Here I am in Tu, girlfriend jeans again, with a navy, cotton v neck from M&S.

Not a lot going on here. We are having a quiet day at home, which means more decluttering for me Grin! Hope everyone else is having a nice day. Nearly weekend!!

Wearing a ribbed pale wine top from Simply Be and a pair of animal print trousers from Sainsburys (TU). They ae a little long so I must not wear them in the rain!

StCharlotte · 08/04/2021 20:13

alphaechokiwi That outfit looks very cool indeed (although the thought of bare feet at the moment makes me shiver!).

I like the navy and grey combo @ParisJeTAime.

Myshitisreal · 09/04/2021 05:31

@jimmyjabs I respect your decision, but just wanted to say I wish you could see what we do. You look great. Very in proportion, lovely shape. It makes me sad and I hope you stick around to read at least. I can empathise with you, I really can. Sending much love.

Here's my last outfit, this was smear chic 😂 The nurse told me she loved my dress.

I went back the next week for blood tests with the same nurse. She didn't seem to remember me but again commented how my outfit had cheered her up so that was kind. I think I was wearing a batman t shirt, Burgundy tights, horizontal stripe cheapy ebay skirt and jack skellington hoody.

Pic - hellBunny dress, snag woolies and the obligatory DM boots. Marks thermagen glitter long sleeves

A bit late to the party, hope you don’t mind me sneaking in to the chat, waves...

Stuck in a leggings and slippers rut which I’m hoping to shake out of when the weather warms up enough to start using my spring/summer clothes!

ParisJeTAime · 09/04/2021 12:30

Hi @hangryeyes! Welcome Smile

Leggings lovers are welcome here Grin

I'm in the same thing I had on yesterday, so no pic today. Might go wild and wear a dress tomorrow Shock.

@Myshitisreal, I love your style! I can absolutely believe you cheered up the nurse with your outfit.

So, for about 30 seconds, I considered wearing a dress. But we had plans to go for a wall today, so ended up in this!

Asda, straight leg jeans and teal, merino v neck! Wore with hiking boots, which lost their sole when I took them off after our walk Hmm. Will have to get some super glue!

PS: I have tried on a few different styles lately and I really think straight cut is 'my' jeans shape.

OP posts:
StCharlotte · 11/04/2021 09:16

They definitely are @ParisJeTAime - you look great in all your jeans!

On Friday morning I was having a few moments (!) on MN before getting ready for work but I'd completely forgotten to allow an extra half hour to actually go to the office instead of 10 seconds to get to my desk upstairs Blush No navy dresses for me that day - just threw on some leggings and a top and ran out of the door. Thank goodness for the casual dress code that"s currently in place Grin

No outings over the weekend so minimal dressing effort made.

ParisJeTAime · 11/04/2021 09:49

Oh no @StCharlotte! I'm sure you looked absolutely fine. I bet it is really tricky getting back into the going OUT to work mindset. When dh goes back to the office, I think it will feel really weird.

Here I am, in Alice Temperley Somerset dress, (size 18). Wearing with merino thermals underneath and woolly socks and not goth boots. Also another merino layer on top! Determined to wear a dress but...brrrr.

That's such a lovely dress.

Zebracat · 11/04/2021 16:19

Looks gorgeous, Paris. Has your Dh accepted the notgoth boots yet?

ParisJeTAime · 11/04/2021 17:55

Thanks! It's a lovely dress in person I think. And really versatile. Could be worn pretty much anywhere I reckon. Ok, maybe not an office.

DH hasn't mentioned the not goth boots again! But I wear them a lot, so I assume he has got used to them Grin

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme · 12/04/2021 13:54

ParisJeTAime depends on the office, Im sure it'd meet business-casual dress code
requirements, certainly a nice dress.

I've just spent the morning bagging up everything I don't love/ which doesn't fot in my wardrobe and taken 8 bags to the donation/ recycling containers in town! That was rather impulsive, but I feel very free! I just randomly remembered 6 years ago rushing to hospital with dc1 expecting to go home with her once seen, and being there for a week - DH had to bring me clothes and brought some too small things without knowing. Obviously clothes are unimportant when DC is really poorly, but it just made me think Id like to only have things which fit and which I really like, so that whoever packed my bags they couldn't get it wrong (unless weather or occasion inappropriate obviously).

I have no idea why I suddenly felt able to do that today!

My quest for properly fitting bras isn't going so well - I ordered one bra to try from Bravissimo on 16th March and it took until today to come, and I got charged 17.50€ import duty, and its only ok, meh,not a perfect fit at all - I'm most pissed off to be honest... Oh well...Angry I may have to resign myself to going to "the city" when shops reopen again, or seeing whether I can make an appointment at a specialist bra shop... Sad

ParisJeTAime · 12/04/2021 15:46

I'd never thought of it like that @UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme, but yes, there is something really reassuring about knowing a complete stranger could go to my wardrobe right now, pick me an outfit and I know it would A) fit and B) be something I actually enjoy wearing! Not that it's ever likely to happen, but you never know and I just like the feeling of knowing everything in there works for me.

Sorry about the bra! A perfect fit bra is probably worth a trip to the city for. Annoying though.

OP posts:
Deathraystare · 12/04/2021 16:23

Very happily wearing Sophia Girlfriend Jeans from Monsoon. Also a pumpkin colour top from TU. A button down t shirt. Not sure pumpkin is my colour as I think I am a 'Spring' not an 'Autumn'.

ParisJeTAime · 12/04/2021 16:37

Oh yes! I am in jeans and a wool jumper, plus merino thermals underneath AND a long sleeve tshirt. It was properly showing this morning! We had really thick snow here. Then, by afternoon it was all gone and quite warm Confused. Anyway, I'm still not too warm and have just put the heat on, so there you are.

@Deathraystare, I think I'm also a spring, technically...but not sure. I wear teal and navy most days. I think it looks nice and it's practical. I also love nude and cream type colours, but they just aren't practical for me. It's all very well people saying you have to wear pastels, but when you have small children and do nothing other than muddy walks, it doesn't really work!

ParisJeTAime · 12/04/2021 16:38

No posts for a few days, how's everyone doing?

I have the day off today and am wearing a cotton top from Sezane instead of my self created "work uniform" of White stuff jersey shirts. I like the colour and details and the length seems to work as tucking things in definitely doesn't work with my bodyshape! The top would be too lowcut for work but its designed to be worn both ways around and the back is pretty too. I'm not as keen on the dark jeans as my absolute favourite washed out light blue ones though.

Top Sezane XXL
Jeans Levi 501s waist 32
