WWW's ten year younger boot camp Nov 07 - WEEK TWO - all welcome

This is week two of the ninth WWW 10year younger boot camp of 2007.

Anyone can join, we promise it works and you will feel and look better - and maybe younger - if you follow these rules.

This is about being healthy and feeling and looking better as a result. It's not a diet (although weight loss does seem to occur fairly frequently)

THE RULES ARE:

  • Sunscreen at all times, even though it's autumn
  • No or little booze in the week. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can. Many of us have an Omron pedometer
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream/foot cream too, we recommend Flexitol, which is fantastic stuff
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

I have had a lovely weekend and wish it wasn't Monday tomorrow but hey ho.

www - that sounds good (except the rollmop - eeurgh), it's certainly given me a smoked salmon craving!

I've eaten a croissant, beans on toast, some sultanas and dried apricots and an apple. I've drunk 3 tall glasses of weak orange squash and some orange juice. Dinner will be steak, baked tomatoes and mushrooms - I'm still off potatoes but might try some mash.

And for exercise, I will now muck out the ponies. DH is moving the bales of woodshavings for me though as they are quite heavy.

Have a nice afternoon.

duch you put the rest of us to shame. I couldn't countenance getting out of bed soem days un early pregnancy, let alone mucking out ponies and exercising.

I'm still being as good as I need to be. My PT has me using a flexibar, which I didn't think worked until I woke up this am with terribly aching abs. I have had wine on Friday and Saturday, but I've really savoured it, and have now got back into the habit of not having it Sunday to thursday. Not sure how I will manage next week though - dh is in Rome.

is all I can say.

thanks for pointing that out batters. I'll have a ponder.

Thinking about it, I did that commute in reverse for years (putney to milton keynes/bletchley) but I could get on at putney, then go to clapham junction, then get the north london line (that never runs on time!) to watford and then pick up the Virgin train there.

I can't tell you how I miss Virgin trains. For all the crap that they can be, they are 1000x better than South West Trains. I have had to stand every journey home so far and it's a 40 minute train journey (and that's after either a 25/30 minute walk or a shorter bus journey).

I'll have a think about where you could get in to Ealing from where you are!

WWW - MK Central, Watford Junction, Olympia - any use to you?

WideWebWitch · 11/11/2007 17:10

Thanks FIS and MrsS. Hmm, Olympia, hmm, let me look. Don't worry, I went to the library and got 10 trashy novels to read on the train and at some point I may get a laptop so that'll sort out the train part.

Well done everyone who's being good.

I had THREE crumpets with lots of butter just now after a lovely stroll by the river with dd and dh. We fed the ducks, it was lovely.

I am looking forward to bed tonight, am tired despite not waking up til 8am. Will start a new thread shortly.
