Super boring outfit today but have bought some new sandals so I’m wearing them in the house with bright pink socks as who knows when I’ll be wearing them out anywhere!

Thank you @MerlinsButler and @Purplecatshopaholic - I never wear that dress but I'm not sure why...I'm trying to wear everything in my wardrobe instead of always defaulting to the same things.

Loving the denim dresses - must dig mine out! Decided to wear yesterday’s dress again, with high tops (Mandalorian ones by Adidas) and a scarf (a secret Santa pressie), to walk the dog. Still deciding whether to keep the dress. Was feeling quite good until the bf started singing Hey Mickey..(some of you may remember a certain Toni Basil wearing a cheerleader costume in the video….) Hmmm, not really the look I was going for!

Was freezing when I got back so switched to jeans and now got a cardi on as well.

Good to get out to meet people @Sickoffamilydrama. I'm wearing green Boden trousers I bought on Ebay. Not sure about them but they are more comfortable than I thought. Jumper seasalt. M&S thermal.

Good to see you all!I had a bad reaction to a contract MRI (body rash) so living in awful baggy clothes atm. I'll be back once it all clears up.

In the meantime, I have been working on creating an annual capsule wardrobe. I've lost a stone since Covid last year so I needed to replace lots of bits anyway. Turns out my original colour and shape analysis done 18 months ago was entirely wrong - I've gone from an Autumn hourglass to a Winter rectangle. I've been enjoying looking for pieces which transition different seasons. I'l still keep my L&Y dungarees for when I'm at home .

@happytobemrsg that sucks. Hope you feel well soon. But working on a capsule wardrobe sounds like a great plan and rather fun.

Wearing bargain premium denim. Unworn £29 from Depop would be £180 from a shop. Bought fir the style to see what it was like. I now own about 8 pairs of black jeans. In 2019 I had one! Not sure about the distressing but it’s a great fit

@happytobemrsg I’ve also managed to loose a stone in 2020 and I’ve been having a good clear out and been trying to invest in better pieces. I feel so excited to be able to get out of the house soon and get dressed up!

@Sickoffamilydrama I would never think about wearing a body suit (I always think they are going to be too tight). It looks lovely on you x

Nothing stylish for me today (again) - it's a beautiful sunny morning here and I'm just about to take the dog and my two younger boys to the beach, may even have a picnic.
Jacket is Jack Wolfskin, tesco joggers, old but very warm jumper from French connection and hat from Espirit (years old)

It’s cold and grey today. We had a power cut last night (from 19:50 to 04:30), so the house is rather cold. There are still lots of people in hi-vis vests peering into the various holes they dug in the road overnight. I wonder if we’ll have more power cuts before they’re done? Anyway, I’m dressed for warmth.

Congrats on the weight loss @Nettersrunboulder86! I do love seeing my wardrobe with less stuff. I read up on the Marie Kundo stuff last year & while I don’t follow it to the letter, I know I’m happier with less clutter. I also feel less guilty getting rid of stuff as I either eBay the expensive stuff or give to charity. Looks like I’m be heading back to the office this month so I’ll be giving my new clothes a proper try

I haven’t worn my matching silver high tops in forever @EllaPaella. I need to get them out soon, they look great on you.

I’m also doing some eBay selling this selling @Sooverthemill I find it so exciting

So I now have 2 wardrobes- one for staying at home & one for when I go out. I prefer that so I don’t wear out my nicer bits. I do tend to spend more money on accessories though.

Today I’m staying at home. We’re having our kitchen redone so we are confined to upstairs.

Thanks @Nettersrunboulder86 I thought the same then saw a blogger saying how great they were now and have gone from none to 5/6.

I like distressed jeans @Sooverthemill as long as the knees don't have massive holes as that's cold and annoying but your look the right level of distressed.

That's annoying @OublietteBravo especially as it's got cold again still the dress looks nice.

My DD tells me I look like DR Who the Jodie Whitaker version in my coat although she's cool according to my DD so I'll take it as a complement.

My H&M collaboration with Lee Jeans came they are to tight I had to squeeze to get them done up and no way could I actually wear them. I'm not sure if I should size up or not.

Oh I do love those jeans on you @Sickoffamilydrama are they comfy to sit down in? I’m wondering if the legs would be too baggy if you sized up. It’s one of those styles

AHH thanks all unfortunately the only thing they'd be good for is instead of a gastric band...but I suppose eventually I'd fit them & it's probably cheaper!
