Thanks Remus I'm not going to take things back for a few days so might re-try it I wondering if there's just to much going on the top half did try it with a new belt as well & that seemed to work better.

Oh yes and whilst I'm sure some people can pull it off the cycling shorts as daywear rather than sport wear is not for anyone but teens I think!

@WaltzingBetty yes they are nice but quit itchy linen...sounds like I'm always finding something wrong but I've got to the point in my life were clothes have to look good, be fit for their purpose and be comfortable!

Oh no I totally agree - if it doesn't feel good you won't wear it!

Sorry for chipping in - I like to lurk on these threads - you've all honestly inspired me to revamp my lockdown wardrobe!

I like the lighter pair of jeans and love the yellow dress. Totally get what you mean about comfort though, I can’t always tolerate jeans anymore.

No worries @WaltzingBetty happy for other people's opinions glad the threads are useful. They keep me from wearing the same thing. I used to love experimenting with different outfits when I was younger so it's good to find something that makes me so it now.

I think I’m going to get rid of these jeans, I have nicer and I’ve had good value from them! But no time to change as waiting for the nurse to come out fir very poorly DD. I am so tired I dropped a bowl of boiling water all over myself last night! Luckily I reacted faster than I’d have guessed!

Oh dear - DD now has a positive PCR test, so we’re confined to the house for the rest of the week (she’s fine other than a slightly sore throat).

DS commented on my outfit this morning (“you look different mummy, like you’re actually dressed for going to work”). I suppose he’s in the boarding house on most of my working days. The cardigan/dress are old - probably from 2012-ish.

@Sickoffamilydrama - I like all the shorts (except the cycling shorts - I agree that these are for exercise only on most adults). I actually quite like the pink dress - but if you think it’s wrong then obviously you shouldn’t keep it!

Love the sandals @EllaPaella. You always seem to be wearing fantastic footwear.

Thanks everyone I might do a re-try on with the shorts in reality I only need one maybe two pairs as I'd prefer to be wafting around skirts or dresses in really warm weather.

Hopefully all she'll get is a sore throat @OublietteBravo that's how what I think was covid started for me only it was the worst sore throat I have ever had, it was last March when they weren't testing unless you were in hospital. I hope you and the rest of the family don't get it badly Middle DD was a little off colour a day or two before me but not enough to worry us & I was the only one in the family who was really Ill.

Agree with @EllaPaella about the cycling shorts, but I like both the blue belted and black denim ones! Also like the ripped jeans.

We’re in isolation up to and including 8 May according to T&T. I think I expected it to be longer, but I suppose they’re going from the positive lateral flow rather than the subsequent positive PCR.

I’m back in boots and opaque tights. Despite the fact that it’s May and I’m not actually allowed to leave the house!

I have posted a few times ages ago, but was hoping for advice too today!
I got these skinny flares yesterday and I like them but was wondering what footwear people think would suit? Not 100% sold on trainers.

I would say most shoes go with those jeans @Rollerbird including ankle boots and sandals. I can't tell 100% but are your trainers edging more towards the practical end rather than being fashion ones, are they running/sport trainers as I find running trainers often don't look right with jeans, although I still wear them to go for a walk in the park.

@Rollerbird, I agree that the trainers you’re wearing don’t really work with the jeans (which are fab) but a more ‘fashion’ pair would - e.g. Adidas Stan Smiths or similar.
