@Shannith what a great haul. I'm not going to look at Cos. Am in the middle of attempting to reduce my wardrobe based on what I actually wear. Yesterday I received a wonderful dress from other stories which looked amazing but was actually made of nylon bed sheets ( I am sure) and I didn't even try it on, it's going straight back today. I am trying to find a dress I am happy with for DD1's wedding. It's quite difficult.
Age is a conceit @shannith and @OublietteBravo. It's not real. I'm 101 or thereabouts looking in the mirror today!

I’m going out out today (about to head to Cambridge to meet a friend for lunch). I have extra layers with me!

I went to some actual shops today...well I tried to take some jeans back to Primark I bought for DD but the queues were massive.
So we went into River island and actually found jeans that DD liked and fitted we have tried about 30 pairs she's long limbed but slim and only just about a size 6 so it feels like a miracle!

I bought a couple of things that I shouldn't have and I think both with go back.

First the twin set I saw a while back and I think @happytobemrsg bought I just don't think I'll wear it.
& Then a dress that clings to my stomach to much.

@Sickoffamilydrama nooooo keep the twin set and the dress. I LOVE how you've styled it all 3 ways. It suits you and shows off your lovely figure.

I like the colour of the dress on you and the general shape is nice - just needs sexing up a bit.

Old Zara top and &Other Stories skirt for work today. I get my hair cut tomorrow - can't wait!

@Sickoffamilydrama it was me who bought the grey twin set from river island. I have to confess to it being packed away in the loft unworn! It's lovely but I'm really not comfy in a top that doesn't cover my belly! LOVE the dress on you though

I agree with Shannith @Sickoffamilydrama - I do really like the twinset on you. But if you’re not going to wear it then returning it is the right decision.

Today is a working day after yesterday’s day off. Although I seem to have gravitated to a more casual look.

Trousers: M&S (I kept the smaller size - if you’re buying these I’d definitely follow the reviews and size down)

@Sickoffamilydrama I’m going against the grain. I’m not keen on the twin set. I like the dress though.

Today I don’t know if these are joggers/slim trousers or cords, they are fine needle cord (is that what you call it) I always imagined cord to be winter but I think I could wear these on cooler summer days too, but they are white stiff and I quite like them. Top ALlSaints.

@Sickoffamilydrama I love the dress and quite like the twin set but if you are even a little bit nervous of wearing it then return it. Well done for getting jeans for DD!@OublietteBravo I love the camo trousers they are great, did you have a nice lunch in Cambridge? I lived there for around 5 years and I love the city @Softpebbles nice trousers! Thanks for the jeans love I had forgotten about them but found in a huge pile of 'maybe get rid of' so I'm glad I tried them in again. But, I have 2 pairs! Damn my multiple buying habit. @itssquidstella love the colour combo.

@Sooverthemill - I had a lovely 4 hour lunch/catch up with my friend In Cambridge. I hadn’t been for a while, but I also lived there at one point (only for a couple of years).

I've been charity shopping for the first time in 6 months? Long time. Got some nice bits which I'll try on properly tomorrow.

We also picked up a brand new Rapido - quite possibly the funniest game ever. DD wet herself a little bit trying to make a recognisable double decker out of play dough in 60 seconds. It looked like a coffee table on wheels with bits on.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I think both will go back as I've said to others if it doesn't make you feel good don't keep it!

I'm not sure about these trousers with this blouse but it was worth a try.

@Sooverthemill the shoes are lovely. I love pointed flats personally and think they work so well with a cropped jean.
Today for me Allsaints jumper and jacket, Jaki camo joggers and veja trainers. Sun is shining again. Quiet day for me as my ddog has a tummy bug so we can't go far. Might pop out for an outdoor lunch later but will otherwise be doing all the boring jobs around the house.

Thanks @EllaPaella I like them too but annoyingly they flip off the right foot every time I walk so I’m going to try heel grippers. Love your outfit today. Did you keep the toast sandals? Hope @elladog feels better soon

Dilemma today about tops as it’s meant to be warmer later. Tried Breton but not sure so changed into short sleeved tee snd added a cardigan. I felt the Breton on slouchy jeans emphasised my tummy ( I know). Probably best with high waists I think. This is one I’ve had years and only just got out of the bag as I got bored with Bretons a few years ago

Hmmmm. I’m not so sure about my outfit today. I love the colour of this jumper, but I think the shape is wrong - regardless of whether or not it’s tucked in. Perhaps it’s one for the charity shop bag.

Just read on another thread that apparently legging worn with dresses are 'frumpy' and a fashion faux pas. Which made me immediately think of this outfit that I have been planning to wear with my new sandals and tried out yesterday 😂

Went for a picnic to a local beauty shop that has amazing views the weather was glorious just a little windy only problem was 45mins in and the gusto delivery arrives at the house DH forgot about it so we had to cut the trip short 🤦‍♀️

Statrted the day with a warmer outfit then swapped to shorter jeans.
